Mason's POV

"Where are we going?" Hayden mumbled. I didn't say anything and just took him outside. "Thanks, Mason. But I can't skip school." He said trying to let go of my hand.

"It's just one more period." I said shrugging my shoulders. "And you're not going back in there with those homophobe assholes." I said smiling at his expression.

"So you don't hate that I'm gay?" Hayden asked shyly. I shook my head smiling. I opened the passenger door for him then shut it once he was in. Jasper won't mind. I think.

"Your house or mine?" I asked driving out of the parking lot. "Or something to eat, because you know." I said trailing off.

"Something to eat maybe." He said playing with his fingers. I smiled at how cute he was. "I need to go get my backpack though." Hayden said nervously.

"It's cool I'll pay." I said smirking at him. He just rolled his eyes, but I could see his blush. "Where do you want to eat?" I asked driving around town.

"Wherever is fine." He said smiling up at me. Maybe he's warming up to me now. I smiled back deciding to go to Arby's. We got our food and ate in the parking lot.

I honestly enjoyed spending time with Hayden even though he barely spoke. "Where to next, mate?" I asked smiling at him, trying to lighten up the mood.

"I should probably get back home." He said smiling nervously. "You know, gotta take the dogs out and stuff. You can stay over if you want." Hayden said shyly.

I nodded my head smiling. We drove to his house and he jumped out. I turned the car off and hopped out. Once we were inside two big dogs jumped on me  causing me to fall down. A little dog yapped in my face.

Hayden was laughing hysterically and I smiled loving how cute it sounds. "Girls down!" He said trying to be serious. I sat up and played with the little one.

"They're so cute." I cooed pushing the little one out of my face. Hayden smiled and picked the little dog up out of my lap. "Why do you have so many dogs." I said standing up.

"The two German shepherds are my aunt's newly husband's dogs. And the Japanese Chin is mine." Hayden said smiling down at his dog.

"What's their names?" I asked petting one of the big dogs head.

"The one your petting is Ally she's a retired police dog and the other is Hazel. My dogs name is Bella." I chuckled at his excitement about his dogs.

"Need help taking them out?" I asked wiping the slobber off my hands onto my pants. He shook his head and left to get the leashes.

"Come on, girls!" He said and the dogs went running after him.

"So, do you like to play video games?" Hayden asked as we sat down on his bed.

"Yah, I sometimes play with Riley." I said watching him flip through some dvds. My phone starts to ring so I quickly pull my phone out of my pocket.

"Hello?"

"Come pick me up, you asshole!"

I laugh remembering I took Jasper's car. "I got to go pick up Jasper." I said hanging up the phone. Hayden just nodded his head. "Want to come with?" I asked hopeful.

"Sure, I need to get my backpack anyways." He said putting his shoes back on. He quickly turned the tv off and we left.

I pulled into the schools parking lot and I saw an angry Jasper waiting by the doors. Once Hayden jumped out Jasper's expression softened. He looked at me curiously before walking over here.

"Hey, Hayden." He said waving. Hayden smiled and waved back before running into the school. "Why is here?" He asked coming up to me. "Get out."

I sighed jumping out of the car. "He was getting picked on and I felt bad." I said sitting in the back. Hayden came back out with his back pack, but he had a huge frown on his face.

"What's wrong?" I asked concerned. Hayden sighed and sat up front. Jasper started the car and drove out of the parking lot.

"It's nothing." He said putting his seat belt on. We all sat there in silence. We finally reached to his house and Hayden got out. "Thank you." He said going inside.

I got out and sat up front with Jasper. "What happened to him?" He asked staring at me concerned. I sighed before telling him what happened at lunch.
