The reception ended with clinking glasses, laughter, and heartfelt hugs. As the car rolled through the night streets, Jimin sat quietly beside Jungkook, his wedding hanbok replaced by soft cream-colored loungewear gifted by his mother. Jungkook, too, had changed into something simpler - a crisp white shirt with his sleeves rolled up, watch still on his wrist.

Neither spoke.

But the silence wasn't uncomfortable. Just... new.

When they reached Jungkook's apartment - their new shared home - Mrs. Park had already made sure everything was perfect. Candles glowed softly, warm lights bounced off gentle cream walls, and their room smelled of lavender and vanilla.

Jungkook opened the door to the bedroom, motioning Jimin to step in first.

The bed was huge - decorated with petals and ivory silk pillows.

Jimin stood at the edge, suddenly unsure.

"You can take the bed," Jungkook said, placing his watch on the nightstand, undoing his cuffs. "I'll sleep on the couch in the study."

Jimin frowned immediately. "No. It's your room too."

"We're both tired. You need rest," Jungkook replied gently. "I'll be okay."

But Jimin's voice was firmer than expected. "That doesn't mean you should sleep uncomfortably."

They stood in silence for a moment.

Finally, Jungkook chuckled. "You're stubborn."

"You said you liked responsible people," Jimin said softly, not looking at him.

Jungkook smiled, grabbed an extra pillow, and placed it on one side of the bed. "Fine. But only if you're okay with sharing."

Jimin looked at the space beside him. Then at Jungkook. He nodded. "I trust you."

That simple sentence.

It melted something in Jungkook's chest.

Jimin laid on his side, facing the wall, fingers fidgeting with the edge of the blanket. His heart hadn't calmed since the moment they laid in bed together. It was nothing romantic-just two newlyweds sharing a bed. But every breath Jungkook took beside him, slow and steady, made his own feel heavier.

He heard the sheets rustle.

Jimin turned slightly and saw Jungkook sit up. The taller man reached for something on the nightstand drawer and then got off the bed.

Jimin's heart quickened when he noticed Jungkook walking toward him.

Slow steps. Calm face. Focused eyes.

Jimin sat up, instinctively backing away on the bed, not sure why. He only stopped when his back hit the cold surface of the wall behind him.

His throat dried. Jungkook didn't stop walking.

"Jungkook..." he whispered.

The older boy finally stood right in front of him.

They were so close. Jimin could feel the heat radiating off his skin.

Jungkook didn't say a word. He simply raised his hands - and Jimin's breath caught.

Is he... going to kiss me?

Jimin's eyes widened.

He could feel the tension. The quiet. The gravity of the moment.

His heart pounded like a drum in his chest. Eyes fluttering shut, lashes trembling, breath stuck halfway...

But instead of lips, something cool brushed against his collarbones.

A thin chain.

Click.

Jimin blinked.

He opened his eyes, slowly.

Jungkook smiled softly, stepping back just an inch. "Relax. I wasn't going to do anything."

Jimin looked down. A delicate silver pendant rested above his heart - a small crescent moon carved with tiny initials on the back: J♥J.

"I... what is this?" Jimin asked, voice small.

"It's something my mom gave me to pass to the person I'd marry," Jungkook said simply. "I didn't want to give it to you at the wedding in front of everyone. It felt too public."

Jimin touched the pendant gently. "It's beautiful."

"I'm glad you think so."

"You scared me," Jimin whispered, cheeks flushed, both embarrassed and flustered.

Jungkook chuckled. "You looked like you were about to faint."

Jimin pouted, lightly hitting his arm. "You made it look like-like something else."

"And what exactly did it look like, Jimin-ssi?" Jungkook teased.

Jimin turned completely red. "N-Nothing!"

Jungkook smiled but softened his gaze, his voice growing quieter. "Goodnight, Jimin."

"Goodnight, Jungkook," Jimin replied, fingers still curled around the pendant.

As Jungkook returned to his side of the bed, Jimin laid back down slowly, the silver resting warmly against his chest.

That night, he smiled to himself in the dark, thinking maybe this marriage... wouldn't be so bad after all.
