Note: This chapter short af. Sorry. I tried.
None made any moves from there spots except Stiles who stepped back to next to Scott. They all looked to Stiles expecting him to say something more, maybe give information on what Seline and Sybil are planning. Stiles only stared back cluelessly. Scott sighed at the ongoing silence, rubbing his forehead.
"Isn't there something you may need to tell us, Stiles?" Derek asked with a raise of a thick eyebrow.
"Um... no," Stiles responded shrugging a shoulder.
"Yes, yes there is something you need to tell them," Scott interjected.
"Oh! Yeah. Almost forgot-,"
"Almost?" Lydia snickered under her breath making them chuckled. Stiles rolled his eyes at the banshee before him. Dismissing her comment, he continued.
"Sybil is out. She's out, that means Cade is here somewhere. Which means we're in deep shit. Deeper shit than we already were in," Stiles explained instant changing everyones mood in the room.
Derek sighed rubbing his temples. "I need a drink," he said while walking towards the kitchen.
~
Seline disgustingly watched Sybil eat a hamburger sloppily as they sat at a table in Five Guys. They had though Stiles would come that night but he hadn't so they gave up hope and went out to get Sybil used to the outside. Selines eyes were fixed on the table as she was deep in thought
"What are you thinking about," Sybil asked through a mouth full of fries.
"Stiles. What if he turned his humainty on and went back to his pack?" Seline said in a worried voice.
"You worry too much. He's probably just doing some scandalous thing that any teenage boy with their humanity off would do," she waved off swallowing her food.
"Why do you say that like its normal for people to have their humanity off?"
"Isnt it?" Sybil asked with a finishing bite.
"No, its not. No supernatural creature can turn their humanity off but a nogitsune," Sybil rolled her eyes. A tall dark man in a dark suit walked up to there table.
"Hello there," he said with a sickeningly sweet smile showing dimples.
"Cade," they said at the same time looking up at him.
"Where have you been?" Seline asked him.
"Stiles should be here," Sybil mumbled to Selien. Although Cade heard it, he disregarded her words.
"You know, just making my way down town, trying to find you two. Although. Shouldn't there be three of you?" He asked with his eyebrows knitted together in confusion.
"The other isn't here right now, and we don't know where he is," Seline sighed out.
"Who else is supposed to be with you?" Cade asked them.
"The nogitsune," Sybil answered. Slight anger boiled in Cades blood at this.
"You let the fox out of sight?" He spoke raising his voice slightly.
"He'll be fine. He'll probbaly be back later tonight," Seline said assuringly.
"Yeah, or he could be feeding uncontrollably killing people all over town," Sybil mumbled earning a kick in the shin under the table from Seline. Cade glared daggers at Seline for her irresponsibility.
"Find him. Now," Cade said through gritted teeth and walked off... just for dramatic effect.
"You just had to fuck it up and make things worst. Thanks Sybil," Seline said then got up and walked out the fast food restaurant... again... just for dramatic effects.
~
"What made you get your humanity back?" Derek asked grabbing everyone's attention from their small talk. They all turned they're heads towards Stiles knowing the question was directed to him. Stiles didn't really know how to answer that. His answer could've ranged from friends at school to curly fries. He looked down twiddling with his fingers.
"Uh, I don't know, really. I'd get these flashes of good things. Quick images of each of you smiling. Everyone that I care about. It happened for a while and I've been ignoring them. But it happened so often and I'd see the images for longer than just a little flash. I started to feel something," Whenever Stiles looked up from playing with his fingers he'd only look to his side at Scott, staring into his dark brown eyes. Finding home within just one glance.
"So," Lydia spoke draging out the word. "When you say 'everyone' you actually mean Scott," she smirked crossing her arms. Stiles stared her, mouth agap. Flustered.
"Wha- no! Not only Scott. The rest of you too," Stiles protested against. Lydia rolled her eyes playfully at him leaning against the couch.
"You looked to Scott the whole time you spoke Stiles," Allison chimes in. Stiles' faces warms up and startes to turn red for he had nothing to say. Scott smiles sheepishly, looking to the ground. They all chuckled at the beat red faced boys. Stiles felt his phone buzz, glad to get a distraction from the group. Reading the contact name Stiles sighed.
"Shit. Everyone be quiet!" Stiles called to the group. They all went silent turning there heads towards Stiles as he answered the phone.
"The hell do you want Seline?" Stiles grumbled through the line. Although Stiles was supposed to act like his humanity was still off, it really was just a deep hatred towards Seline.
"Where have you been?!"
"Minding my damn business. You should try it some time," came a sarcastic remark.
"I'm serious Stiles, where have you been?" Seline sighed.
"I've just been out. Calm down. I haven't gone crazy,"
"Well, you need to stop whatever you're doing and get to the wearhouse now!"
"Okay, jeez. What's the problem?"
"Cade is the problem. Sybil was all like 'hes probably out feeding uncontrollably.' So now I'm in trouble,"
"I haven't been doing anything. Just walking, enjoying the peace and quiet from you,"
"I swear, I'm gonna kill you," Seline growled through gritted teeth. Stiles just rolled his eyes.
"Yeah good luck with that," he said before hanging up. Stiles sighed putting his phone back in his pocket. Stiles was excited to be back with his pack but now he has to go deal with Cade. Something he completely dreaded.
"Uh, Sorry to cut the reunion short, but I have to go deal with the devil now," he chuckled dryly. They gave him frowns and sad smiles. Ecpecially Liam who looked like a kicked puppy that he has to leave. Stiles gave Scott a kiss and whispered 'I love you' before walking out. Stiles walked out to his car with a huff as he started the ignition and down the road.
Stiles decided against the radio, only the sound of the car engine and the tires against the gravel road. Being in the silence, Stiles started thinking. It made him shudder as he thought of all things he did while... off. Stiles thought back to what he did to Derek, when he glowed his eyes at the alpha, having him completely in his trance like he compelled Derek. What if he could make them forget? Stiles thought on that for a momemt then decided against it. He couldn't do that. Taking away a chuck of their memory would make him a worst person than he already thinks he is. What pack thinks he it. Each of them still had a small flicker of fear when they saw him.
Stiles parked in front of the wearhouse that he and Seline had been using for Sybil. The car drive there was too short for Stiles' liking, wishing he could have some more time to sit and think to himself. Looking up at the building made a cold shiver run down his spine bringing bad things and memories with the rush. He shook those thoughts away and walked in the building.
In the same room where the dreaded mechanic hook and blood filled pit were stood Seline Sybil and Cade, standing around leisurely. Seline turned around hearing his foot steps on the concrete flooring.
"Where the hell have you been?!" Seline nagged as Stiles took his last two steps in front of her. Stiles rolled his eyes in response at her. "I should punch you in the face right now," she said through gritted teeth, clenching her fists at her sides.
"Do it and see what happens," Stiles growled at her stepping in her face. Seline gulped and Stiles saw a small flicker of fear in her eyes making him smirk and step back turning to Cade. Cade has a proud smile on his face as he watched Stiles' action.
"I think we'll all get along just fine, huh?" Cade said clapping Stiles on his shoulder. Stils gave back an evil smirk. He's got them in the palm of his hands.
"So whats the plan?" Stikes asked crossing his arms.
"Make earth a living hell,"
"And with you, it'll be a lot easier," Sybil chimed in from behind Seline.
"I like the sound of that," Stiles said. The inner part him didn't want anything to do with what they were planing. He was scared yes, but he was packs eyes on the inside, he needed to know what they were planning so he can stop it.
"But it takes a lot of work, and materials," came in Seline.
"This is Beacon Hills. It has everything needed for the supernatural," Stiles remakred putting his hands on his hips.
"Good. Because we need the Nemeton,"
"The nemeton? No one knows where it is," Stiles told them.
"Its in Beacon Hills right?" Sybil asked.
"Yeah, but no one know its exact location. Its somewhere out in the beacon Hills Preserve but no one knows how to get there. People just find it randomly," he explained. Cade gave him an unbelieving look, Stiles gave back a confused look as to why Cade didn't believe him.
"But you know where it is," Cade started nodding his head towards Stiles.
"Did you not just hear a word I just said? No one knows where it is. That including me,"
"Not you. The nogitsune you," Cade made clear.
"That side doesn't know where it is either. I just show up there not knowing how I got there. So your plan is pointless," Cade gave Stiles a hard glare at his instant hopelessness of the plan. He was becoming a little suspisious of Stiles because of it.
"We're going to find it," Cade said sternly.
"Is this all you guys wanted from me? We could've done this on facetime. Instead of being in the same presence," Cade waved him off after the sarcastic remark, tired of the teenage bullshit for one night. Stiles smirked knowing he had gotten on Cade's nerves then turned around and left.
As Stiles got in his car he took a deep breath running his hands down his face. This whole situation was a lot worst that he thought. Bringing hell to earth? That's crazy! How is the pack going to stop them. They'd have to get to the nemton before Cade did. But how? Like Stiles said, no one knows where it is. Yet, Stiles was determined they'd find it. Stiles tapped his fingers on the steering wheel deciding what he should do for the night. He started the engine knowing where to go next.
~
Sheriff Stilinski sat at his desk stressing over old unsolved cases. He cant exactly put 'supernatural attack: Werewolf' in the papers. He took his reading classes off his face and rubbed his eyes tiredly. A knock sounded from the door and he looked up to see his newest deputy Parrish leaning on the threshold.
"Its getting late sheriff, you should be heading home. Your shifts almost over," Parrish told him. Sheriff sighed and shook his head pick his pen up again.
"Im just gonna try and finish some papers,"
"With all due respect Sir, you look terrible. You need sleep. Plus my shifts not over till sunrise. Go home Sheriff," The deputy told hin with a warm smile then walked back to his desk. Parrish was always one to look after Stilinski in the station when times were tough for him. Stilinski sighes and put the papers in the folder and back in the desk drawer. He stood up and was about to put his coat on but pause when he found his keys were missing from the desk
"Aw damn. Keys. Where are those darn things," he muttered to himself. He looked in drawers and under papers but to no avail.
"Coffee mug," he heard an all too familiar voice say making him freeze.
"What," he said in a quiet voice turn around.
"You always drop your keys in your empty coffe mug," he said pointing to the mug on the corner of the desk.
"Is it you? Is it really you?" He asked in disbelief.
"Yeah. Its me, Dad. Im not goin anywhere," Stiles gave a small smile. Stilinski went around the desk taking large steps. Stiles pushed off the threshold stepping forwards as well. The men met in the middle with a tight hug. They hugged each other with a feeling of protection, wanting to protect each other with every fiber in their bodies.
"I missed you like hell, boy," Stilinski said to his son. Funny you mention Hell, Stiles thought. He would've said that out loud but he doesn't want his father to get involved and get hurt.
"I missed you too Dad," Stiles responded as they pulled away from each other. Stiles had missed his father dearly and couldn't imagine how the month would've been like alone. And that made him think. How would his dad deal with him gone at college? Stiles shook the thought at the moment, going to worry about it later. But this time now with his father was what mattered.
"C'mon, lets go home,"
