Zane's POV-

I felt it i felt Asher in pain it was a sharp pain ,but it was also dull cause the mating process isn't complete. I continued to drive even though my mate was in pain my family needs me. He dosen't want me anyway all I am is a monster in his eyes. My phone rang I answered it seeing it was my mother. "Hello?" "Zane how much longer this can't exactly wait." I sighed "Mom I am driving I am literally going 70 miles over the speed limit." "Have you gotten pulled over?" 'No mom I am taking some back roads I have about 3 hours left." I could hear the tiredness in her voice. "Very well I will see you when you get hear." "Wait mom why arn't you telling me what I literally might kill myself over." "It's not something to tell over the phone besides it's your father's place to tell." With that she hung up I hit the steering wheel feeling the pain once again wash over me.

Asher's POV-

I hobbled over to the restroom honestly half this day I can't even remember I have blacked out so much. The bullies I have come across are mostly Daniel's friends/gang or some homophobic jerk. They make sure to bruises are where it won't be noticeable. The teacher's are like zombies they notice nothing unless it involoves them. Even if I did tell they would just punish the kids maybe even expelled them for a couple days. Then they will come back then the beatings would get worse. I text my dad I am not feeling good and that he should come get here. I get to my 3rd period which is British Literature. I sat down in my chair wincing when my leg hit the medal pole. "Alright class I want you to write these vocabulary." The teacher said I grabbed my binder flipping it open when my pencil dropped to the floor. I blew out a little air and bent down wincing and biting my lip slightly. I was about to grab it when another boy grabbed it. "Here you looked like you were in some discumfort." I smiled "Thanks I'm Asher" He smiled "Mikey"

Zane's POV-

I drove through the forest literally 500 feet from the pack house. I parked up front and ran to the door. Not reminising after not seeing my childhood home in about a month. I sprang to the door nodding to the guards. They opened the door and I got a whiff of everyone that's been in the house today. So ruffly about 150 scents but one stuck out my mother. I followed it lightly jogging through the halls until I got to my parents room. I could hear whimpering I openedit seeing my mother with her head in her hands. "Mom" I said breathlessly I walked up to the bed and sat by her "Mom what's wrong who do I have to kill?" When those words left my mouth her whimpering turned into full sobbs she threw her hands around me. "He's gone" "Who?" I questioned "Your father." My mind went through like a hundred senarios after hearing that. "Mom" I said fighting back the emotions dad always said showing emotions was a sign of a weak wolf. "What happened?" "Hunter's came he protected the pack they got a large amount of wolf spain in him. They must have mixed t with something because he didn't start feeling the effects until Wenesday." Everything started to click that's why he called saying my ceremony was moved up. "He's dead he died 2 hours ago." "Where's Izabelle?" "At the beta's house." She continued to cry I couldn't see her like this. I put my hand on her back "I'll be back" I walked out my fists balled and jaw clenched. I exited the house through the back door I called a meeting into the back yard. Everyone gathered quickly I cleared my throat. "If you have not heard my father and your alpha has passed away. Now as the next alpha in line I order everyone including children to stay in the perimeters. We will also have a curfew for 8 o'clock sharp this is just until the next full moon Saturday. That is when we will do my ceremony. All kids are excused from school as it is in the city. We don't know if and how far the word that are alpha died has gotten out. We will also be holding a funeral for my father tomorrow at dawn. Any questions?" Only one person in the back held up there hand. "Yes" "Who will be in charge for the next 4 days until your ceremony?" Everyone nodded and agreeded in wonder "Me and Beta Tom will both be equal partners in leading this pack. If that is all I and my family will be in the alpha quarters for the rest of the evening." I texted Asher I was gonna be staying longer but it didn't go through. I sighed he was still aching slightly. I wish I could just cuddle him and lick his wounds. As for now I will be the alpha my dad always intended me to be.
