‘So, Greg came in yesterday.’

I joyfully confided to Zayn, which as of the moment, as my senses could tell, finding comfort in the grassland.

I wish I could join him.

‘Oh.’

He replied in a very disappointed tone which sparked my curiosity immediately.

‘What? What’s wrong?’

‘Nothing.’

‘Bullshit.’

He sighed audibly as if I won’t let this get away so easily.

Which is true, by the way.

‘Tell me.’

I demanded as his silence made me impatient for an answer.

‘Oh, I see.’

I said as he never said a word as if I wasn’t there asking him a question.

‘What?’

He finally said, baffled by my last comment.

‘Nothing.’

I responded coldly.

‘What?!’

He demanded.

‘Niall?’

He insisted as I tried my best not to say anything.

Finally, I turned to where I could hear his voice was coming from and raised an eyebrow at him.

‘So now you know what it feels like to be left hanging. I’m just returning a favor, you know.’

‘Okay! Okay! Fine, I’ll tell you.’

I couldn’t help but smile.

Who owns the throne?

‘I-I’m just worried, you know…’

He started.

‘Now that your boyfriend is here, my existence would be unnecessary.’

Trust me, I hated myself for laughing so hard and clapping like a seal.

All the while, Zayn’s ‘What? What’s wrong? What did I say?’ struggled to surface amid my laughter.

After I thankfully recovered from my temporary bliss, I tried calming my face trying to entertain his curiosity.

‘You okay now?’

The sarcasm in his voice nearly made me a laughing wreck again.

‘Yep. I think so.’

I managed to reply.

‘What’s that all about? You freaked me out!’

‘Dude, trust me. You freaked me out more!’

‘What is it? What did I say? Jeez! Say it already.’

‘Greg’s my brother, you idiot!’

I declared as I reached for his head and nudged it playfully.

After a moment of silence, he produced a funny sound.

And after that we were snickering, then chuckling then actually giggling like we’re both two year olds being tickle tortured.

His laughter set me off the most because it wasn’t only compelling, but also it was so rich and thick that it made joining in irresistible.

It was contagious.

‘Now I really feel like an idiot.’

He admitted after recovering from the mirth.

I just smiled.

‘How come you thought of that anyway?’

‘Just a guess, I really stupid one.’

‘I couldn’t agree more.’

I replied.

‘Zayn?’

‘Yep?’

‘Can I join you in the grass? I really want to feel anything other than this shitty wheelchair.’

‘Sure thing, babe.’

Oh my God, I just pissed my pants.

Where in the world did that came from?

‘You okay? Why so red all of a sudden?’

Uhh, duh!

You just called me “babe” which was the spell for an untimely death.

And blushing is just one of the lethal symptoms.

‘Nothing. Maybe I still hadn’t recovered enough from your wild guess.’

I lied.

He then held my hand and led me to sit on the grassy ground with him.

Relief actually came to my butt as the comfortable feeling of mother nature welcomed me.

‘So, how would you like to spend this day?’

I asked after inhaling and exhaling the surrounding’s scent.

‘Talk about you. It’s your turn, remember? Let’s make this day about you.’

‘Uggh. I hate this. We should do something more fun! If I tell you a story or two about me, you’d be bored like shit.’

‘Try me.’

Dammit!

‘Fine, then.’

I gave up and prepared myself to tell a thing or two about moi.
