Chapter 8

Michael's POV

Three men started coming close to me. Circling me. Damn I can't stand them. Oh how much I hate them for destroying my life. They are shapeshifters like me. I was from a royal family of shapeshifters. Most shapeshifters can only shift into one thing, but me on the other hand can shift into anything. That was until someone murdered my family in their sleep. They are just jealous.

Andrew is the leader. He has always been jealous of me since I was a little boy. He always wanted all of the attention. Everyone was always astonished that I was able to shift into anything. Soo all of the girls loved me. Even though I wasn't going to get into anything . I was young but I knew that I had a mate out there somewhere.

"Well look who it is. I've been looking for you for a while. Looks like we have unfinished business to be attending to, get em boys." Andrew said to his minions.

As they came closer I started to shift into a armadillo and rolled between Andrew's legs.

Right before anyone could turn around I turned into a clone of Andrew and stood right next to him.

Andrew looked at me with wide eyes. As I said "You sly bastard! Shifting into me! Boys get em!" The minions went for Andrew and stabbed him in the back with a silver blade. It will heal. But damn that's going to take some days.

"AHHH what are y'all doing?! He's the fake!" Said Andrew and I smirked saying "Michael you're pretty good keeping this act up as if I am you. Boys gp lock him up. Ill catch up with you in a few hours. I have some more unattended business to finish."

"Okay, boss" said the minions. Carrying the real Andrew away.😂😂😂 Not even questioning me.

"Beat him once you get to the dungeon and close the door. We have already made a big scene."

"I didn't think if that ! This is why you are the boss!"

"I know" I said with a smirk. As they left and closed my door and I locked it looking out if the broken window seeing them getting into a black van and leave. Then I shifted back into myself.

Now I have to check on Gabriel. "Gabriel! Oh Gabriel." I said looking through the house.

Wait hes probably in my room. I walked to my room and looked around. 'Empty' I thought, that was until I heard a sniffle coming from the closet.

When I opened the closet door I seen Gabriel in a corner of my closet with tears rolling down his cheeks.

I got on my knees and put my hands on each side of his face and said "Babe, what's wrong?"

Gabriel started crying even harder trying to speak "I-I t-thought you we-were g-going t-to-shhhhh" I cut him off already knowing what he was going to say.

"I'm not going to die anytime soon, I promise. I love you ." I said wiping his tears. "I-I l-love y-you t-too. With that. I kissed him with passion. Soo much love was put into the kiss. I can feel it.

Right now. I have no care in the world. I just want to be here for my mate and all of our future children.

As we pulled away to get some air, Gabriel looked into my eyes and smiled.

"Gabriel?" I asked

"Yes, Michael?" He said still smiling.

"I think we might have to change our location ." I said and his face fell. Along with his smile.

"What's wrong?" I asked. I hope he knows I have money.

"I don't want to leave my family and bestfriend behind. I haven't even told my parents that I am pregnant yet." He said looking down.

"I can buy everyone houses where we are going. It doesn't have to be a permeant move. It's just for a few years until everything here calms down. I don't want everybody you love in danger."

"Okay. Soo I guess we have to tell Aaron and my family." Gabriel said.

Maybe things can change for the good.
