You guys had talked before about missing Mingyu, so I bought some fluffy moments between X1 and Mingyu.

It's not that long, but some things happened and I didn't have that much time to write during the weekend, also because I worked on three oneshots at once.

But I hope you enjoy it!

This is not very thoroughly proof read, so there might be a bit more grammar mistakes and typos

The survival show is something that completely changed the lives of so many. Even without debuting, the doors opened for many, and for the X1 members too it was something they would never forget. Not only because of the debut, they craved for so much, but because of the people they met, the friendships formed, the things they learnt, everything had a  very special place in their heart and mind.

And the members did have many close friends they didn't have the chance to debut with. Jinhyuk, Byungchan, Sejin, Donghyun, Yunseong, Peak, and so many others. And of course, Mingyu. Mingyu still remembered very well Hyungjun's face when it was announced he wouldn't make it. He remembers how sad the younger was, he remembers the tears. And right then he just wanted to do anything and everything to make his pain go away.

But there was nothing they could do. So Mingyu just watched from afar. Watched as X1 debuted, as they hit it big, as the members seemed so so happy, specially Hyungjun. When he had seen the word "행복합니다" (I'm happy, Hyungjun said that during idol league when asked if he has any concerns) come out of his mouth Mingyu couldn't help but smile so brightly. That day he was just happy all day, nothing could bring him down.

Even though he was so so happy for the members, his own dream was being subsided. He continued training at his own company, but he craved for the stage. And received so many messages everyday from people who liked him, who missed him.

And his time had come.

"You're debuting"

They said. And the preparations came. The infinite training with 4 other boys to debut as one group. And he was just so excited.

On the day before debut he was invited as an special MC. As he already had an established fanbase and was a known face it would be the best opportunity to promote his group. But Mingyu was completely dumbfounded seeing whose stage he would have to present. The words "X1 Christmas Comeback Stage" written big on his script. He had not even realized it. So busy preparing for his own debut, he didn't realize X1 had a come back. And even more, he would be the one presenting it and presenting the win that night.

He got ready, hair, makeup, everything. And came the time to announce it. When the groups came on stage, they could only hear the voice of the MCs, since the structure of the stage made it hard to see the MCs itself. So he called out loudly for the comeback stage.

And Hyungjun was extremely confused as he was basically pushed to the stage since they had to start. He knew that voice. He was completely sure he knew that voice... but it couldn't be. He brushed it off as they had to start performing right then.

Right after performing they went immediately back to backstage. There was one more stage only before the win would be announced. So they just used that time to look more presentable after sweating a bit while dancing and fixed their hair and makeup. They already knew they were indicated for the win, so they would have to stand at the front of the stage.

And the time came. They went to go up the stairs to the stage before the win was announced. But seeing Mingyu standing there with the two other MCs revising the script was something they completely didn't expect. And it was a mess. The 11 members basically rushing to get closer and talk to Mingyu, a certain poodle haired member ending up behind. But the presentation was beginning soon, so they quickly adjusted their positions like nothing had just happened.

And soon begun the teasing while they were announcing the winner. Feigning they would announce but not doing it. Until the word "X1" written in big letters and a big picture of them covered the stage. It was their win. Their 12th win since debut. And Mingyu, the one who had stayed with them for three whole months every single day, came forward, holding the trophy with such a bright smile on his face.

After receiving the trophy and making a small thanking speech they saw Mingyu making his way down to back stage. Not until the same poodle haired small member pulled him by the wrist.

"Mingyu hyung!"

And god he had missed that voice so much. So Mingyu just gave in, coming back to hug the small member tightly. It was such a difference from their last meeting. From the tears at that ranking stage, to the bright smiles knowing both had finally made their dreams come true. The members also couldn't stay back. One by one also came to the two, hugging, playing around, laughing.

And the encore stage coming to an end. The members pulling Mingyu by the hand to hold hands with them and bowing. Also some screams of "stan Mingyu debut" echoed through the speakers, some certain extra members (Starts with Seung ends with Yeon) being even louder than they naturally were.

They went backstage together, X1 refusing to let Mingyu go yet. He now hugged every single member more comfortably and stayed with them as they got ready to leave to the dorms as their next schedule would be early morning the next day, and it was almost night.

Mingyu was just standing when he felt arms wrapping around his waist from behind. He just smiled, turning around to lightly ruffle the short member's hair.

"I surprised you right? I also wasn't expecting to be on stage with you so soon"

"Mingyu hyung, you're finally debuting! Maybe we'll be able to even comeback together! I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too, and yeah, maybe. I was so busy preparing for the debut I didn't know you guys would be making a comeback, Hyungjun-ah"

"I also didn't know you were debuting, we took so long to prepare for this comeback we didn't even have the time to go through SNS. But I'm so happy for you hyung!"

"Now we both got to our first goals, so let's fly high together, huh?"

"Always, hyung!"

Mingyu just hugged the younger tighter. It had been so long since they had seen each other, hugged each other or barely talked. They did try to call each otger and everything, but with their busy schedules it was still hard. Wooseok quietly approached them, putting a hand on each boys' shoulders.

"Hyungjun-ah, we have to go, but I already talked to the manager and you can come with us if you want to, Mingyu-ya. We all missed you a lot, so if you have time we can hang out"

"I'll ask my own manager okay? I can meet you guys at the parking lot"

Hyungjun pouted and whined a bit before letting the 01 liner go, but did as Wooseok insisted. The 11 members went outside, waving and even talking to fans, soon getting in the van and waiting.

"I really hope Mingyu hyung can come with us"

"I know you do, Hyungjun-ah, and we do too, but he will debut soon and might have work to do."

Seungwoo as always interfered, being rational but with such a soft tone in his voice no one could be mad about it.

"I know, hyung..."

"But if he does come, what should we do? Any idea, kids?"

"Hmm... we should do like when we were in produce before, we were always the happiest when we got together and ate snacks and chicken"

"Good idea, we could do that then, also to catch up a bit"

It went silent and the 11 members anxiously waited for news. The 20 members that had gotten to the last episodes were especially close, and getting to meet again was something they craved for so so much. It seemed like everybody had their hearts on their sleeves, beating loud and clear in unison as they just waited.

And a yelp was heard as the door suddenly opened to reveal Mingyu smiling brightly. He was pulled in quickly, the van becoming chaotic as everyone moved around and got off their seats to hug the tall member. Mingyu ended up sitting right between Hyungjun and Seungyeon, hugging the younger and being hugged by the older. The members wanted to get closer, but for safety reasons the managers told them to stay seated.

The ride home was filled with happy exclamations and a very chaotic atmosphere. They were just ecstatic to be together again, and it was very clear. Even the managers laughed at the scene, having already devolved fatherly feelings for the members.

As soon as the van stopped and the doors opened everyone practically ran into the dorms, ready to make every single minute last. They already had a system, what to order, who would order, who they would ask for money from, who would set the table. It had already become a routine after being together for over two months.

And Mingyu just stood there, amazed as everything seemed to just set itself into place. Of course, things being dropped and playful moments appeared in the process, but still the way they just simply worked together was kind of amazing. The top 20 was already very united, but the 11 in front of him were like one.

Mingyu felt someone hug his arm, soon looking to the side at his poodle haired dongsaeng.

"What's up, hyung?"

"Nothing, I was just looking at you guys"

"Hey, you kiddos, let's sit down!... kiddos and Seungwoo hyung"

Everybody laughed as Seungwoo stared sternly at Seungyeon's goofy expression. That hadn't changed even one bit, Mingyu thought.

Gradually all of them sat down, it being on the ground, sofa, chairs, or even each other's laps. When all 12 sat down, Mingyu was caught off guard by all eyes turning to him at once.

"You should have seen what you guys just did... are you sharing one brain cell or something?"

"So that's why you guys seemed so dumb"

Wooseok commented, keeping a completely straight face. But it didn't last long as Seungyeon's long fingers found their way to his sides and started tickling. Wooseok jerked away, laughing and raising his hands in surrender.

(You know the drill, members initials before their sayings)

MG: "You guys are almost exactly the same. But now you just seem to... I don't know, you work out together"

SW: "I guess we do have great teamwork"

HG: "Now, Mingyu-ya, how have you been? Tell us it all"

MG: "Well. After the show I actually immediately started preparing for debut. I couldn't tell anyone, thus why I didn't say anything to you guys. Then when I could, we were both too busy, so yeah. And I'm basically debuting with a group as a vocalist"

WS: "I'm really really happy for you, Mingyu-ya. You worked so hard, you deserve your debut, and I know it will all turn out amazing"

A soft smile was on Wooseok's features as he looked at the younger member. Mingyu remembered very well how the older worked so so hard to make their To My Youth presentation as great as it turned out. Even with him and Jinwoo being not so experienced, Wooseok helped in the most gentle ways, always being supportive. And those were moments Mingyu held very dear. So Mingyu took the older's hand in his a bit absent mindedly, and in a place the other members couldn't see.

MG: "Thank you, hyung"

HG: "Right, Mingyu-ya! I'm sure it will be amazing"

After a few minutes the food arrived, all members talking to each other as they ate. It was so loud he wondered if they could be heard from outside.

"Mingyu hyung, eat this"

Hyungjun said, holding out a piece of fried chicken. Seemed like he stole the piece from chicken feet unit since they didn't seem to be paying attention to the fried chicken.

"Thanks, Hyungjun-ah"

Mingyu slightly hugged the younger by the side, eating the piece he was offered.

The rest of the night was spent with loud conversations, games, serious talks and overall just the members enjoying their time together. Mingyu missed those moments a lot, and it was amazing to feel part of something so amazing again.
