It had been about two weeks since I've started coming to this hell hole. I swear it must be worse than the under world. Bullies were always picking on you and making you feel like shit, teachers nagging you about work, principals wont shut up about rules, and what was the worst thing about this school is that it had werewolves.
I was aware there were some in this town, but I wouldn't think that they'd go to school here. Speaking of those dirty mutts. Today took a turn for the worst when Tyler, the jock from before, decided that him and his buddies should get to 'know' me more. And by that I mean I spent my lunch in the boys locker room almost being ripped to pieces by werewolves.
My hair dripped water from my head being sprayed with the shower hose. Claw marks on my back and torso burned as they rubbed against the wet fabric of my shirt. Pinned to my chest was a paper with the word 'leech' written in messy hand-writing. I ripped that up and tossed the pieces over my shoulder. Now if only I could get rid of the wet dog smell. I would say I looked like a hot mess, but is there really anything hot about your body being torn up? To make things worse those bastards nearly tore out my piercings. Instead I was left with a busted lip and a recked nose.
My nose cracked painfully as I adjusted it back into place. I sighed and leaned against the wall outside of the school building. Reaching into my jacket pocket, I pulled out a pack of cigarettes and took one from it's case. It's been a while since I had one of these. I've missed the tasted of it ever since I cut back way back then. Of course I still always carried a pack around with me though.
Just as I was about to light it up, somebody already beat me to it. I could already tell who the man was just by the smell of death that appeared when he did.
"Thanks" I mumbled and took a drag from my cigarette. The smoke filled my lungs and took away part of my stress with is as it blew out of my nose and mouth. The man chuckled and watched my every move through his crimson red eyes.
"I thought you quit smoking Ryan" he smirked, showing off his doubled vampire fangs.
"And I thought you quit being such an ass Dax, but I guess that didn't happen either" I replied, blowing smoke in his face. He grabbed onto my jaw and examined my face. I growled and held the tip of my cigarette to his skin. Dax hissed, retreating his hand away from me.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to touch me?!" I snapped, flicking my bud at his face.
"What happened to your face?" he asked, ignoring my question.
"Oh gee, I thought I looked so pretty" I sighed and pulled up my hood to hide my face.
Dax growled and yanked off my hood. He then pinned me against the wall and looked into my eyes. I felt nearly hypnotized by the beauty his face held. His skin was a ghostly pale white, every single feature of his had no flaw. Even the dark circles under his eyes matched his appearance perfectly. And that stubble that outline his jaw, well lets just say he was and still is pretty damn attractive. Dax looked as if he were only a teenager still, although he was 28 years of age when he was changed. I know how bad that sounds being that I was stuck at 16, but love has no age to it right? Especially if you're a vampire.
"Why do you even care?" I spoke more softly now. Why did he? He cares about no one but himself and I was a fool to ever think he loved me.
Dax didn't answer. All he did was stare at me until I would answer his questions first. "I got into a fight with a couple of werewolves" I mumbled.
Suddenly, Dax burst into laughter as if me getting my ass beat was the funniest thing one could hear about. Growling in annoyance, I shoved him away and started to make my way back to class.
"Jerk" I said through clentched teeth.
"Oh come one Ryan you could of easily killed those mutts" he finally spoke, causing me to stop.
"I'm not like that Dax, not like you are" I sighed.
"Not like I am? Last time I saw you, you were a cold hearted killer" he said, placing a hand on my shoulder and kissing the shell of my ear. "Don't you remember? We tore up those towns and no one caught us" Dax whispered in my ear then trailed his lips down my neck. I shivered at the touch of those familiar cold lips.
"Don't you miss what we use to be? I miss the feeling.."
His fingers peaked into my shirt, and slowly traced up my side. I gasped, realizing what he was doing. Letting out a quiet snarl, I jabbed my elbow to his chest. Dax hissed, falling into a puddle on the ground.
"I'm not falling for you Dax, not this time" I then walked away and into the school. He cursed under his breath but I ignored him.
Looking at the clock on the hallway, I saw that seventh period would be over soon. So there was no use going to it and getting yelled at by the teacher. Instead I wondered around the school until the bell rang.
The school hallways almost instantly filled with loud talking students. Some stared at me with fear in their eyes. This all went back to the first day of school when I beat Tyler's face in along with his buddies. Not like I cared. It was better that they stayed out of my way anyways.
Finally Destry's class was let out. I pulled up my hood and leaned against the lockers, waiting for him to walk out of the classroom. His eye's lit up once he saw me, and a smile formed on his lips.
"Hey babe, ready to go?" he asked in a happy tone. I smiled back slightly and nodded. His arm wrapped around my waist, causing the the claw marks to sting.
I winced in pain and bit down on my bottom lip. Destry looked at me with concern. I shook my head, keeping it down so that he wouldn't see my face.
"Are you alright?" he asked, taking his arm back.
"I'm fine" I breathed. He narrowed his eyes at me, not believing my words. "Come on let's get out of here" I said before he could argue with me.
~~
I sighed as I examined myself in the bathroom mirror. We were now at our cabin and as soon as we got here, I had rushed into the bathroom.
My face had healed, but as for the marks on the rest of my body, they did not. If I could I would of covered them with my venom so they could heal faster. But since they are werewolf marks then they'd take a few days to heal. And they would do that slowly and painfully.
"Ryan?" I heard Destry knock on the door. Quickly I put my shirt back on and stepped out of the bathroom. He looked at me confused and worried. I rolled my eyes and kissed his lips softly before heading to the bedroom.
Hands suddenly grabbed onto my hips and spun me around. I gasped as Des crushed his lips against mine. Slowly I grind against him, tangling my fingers in his hair. His own fingers made their way up my shirt, where they rubbed against the cuts that now burned from his touch.
Hissing in pain, I jumped away from him which caused me to bum into the wall, making the marks sting even worse.
"Okay that's it, what the hell is wrong with you Ryan?" Destry asked obviously annoyed.
All I did was just shake my head not wanting to tell him. This only made him angry with me. I then found myself being pinned against the wall by Destry, as he lifted up my shirt. His eyes went wide at the sight of my gashes.
"Ryan what happened?" he asked, his voice slightly cracking. I looked away from him, pulling down my shirt.
"Seems like Tyler and his buddies are werewolves.." I growled at the thought of the mutts. Destry ran a hand through his hair and sighed.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he pulled me into a gentle hug.
"I didn't want you to worry and besides I'll be fine in a few days and then I plan on getting my revenge" I smirked
"You worry me sometimes, you know? Next time tell me when something happens like this, okay?" he looked into my eyes.
I nodded and smiled innocently. He chuckled and kissed my cheek, then carefully pulled me onto the bed where I laid my head on his chest. The soothing sound of his heart beat was heard, making me forget about how horrible today was. But I knew this moment wouldn't last forever because tomorrow would come faster than I wanted it to.
