.::Destry's POV::.

"Ryan...?" I placed my hand on his cheek. Surprisingly it was warm and so was the rest of him. Maybe it was from being burned, or maybe it's how all undead people felt when they died. No, Ryan couldn't be dead though, he just couldn't be.

"Jay! Jay I need you!" I cried out, but he was already right beside me in less than a second. He ran his fingers through his brother's hair, moving it away from his eyes.

"Can you help him?"

Jay stayed silent as he looked at the burns covering most of Ryan's body. He carefully pulled off Ryan's shirt and tossed it to the side. I cringed at the sight of his mangled up body.

"There's a fifty-fifty chance-" Jay was cut off.

"More than that if you mix Destry's blood with mine" Dax spoke up.

I clenched my hands into fists and turned to look at him.

"Now you want to help? After all of this, now you want to help!?" I got up to my feet to stand face to face with him.

"Destry.." Jay place a hand on my shoulder.

I roughly pulled away and took a swing at Dax's face. Using my powers on my fist, I made the punch ten times stronger than it would be, sending Dax to smash against a wall. My nose began to bleed again, but I didn't care. I raised my fist and swung it making a ball of bones crush against him. I repeated, one ball after another came flying at Dax. He tried fighting them off but it was no use.

"Destry stop!" Jay wrapped his arms around me, trying to keep me still.

"No let me go now! Jay I don't want to hurt you, let me go!" I struggled to pull away from him.

"No not until you calm down now!"

"Let. Me. Go!" I shouted.

"Enough!" Abadamn's voice silenced us.

He walked towards me with a small glass vile in his hand and held it to my bleeding nose. It filled it about half way before Abadamn walked over to Dax.

"What are you doing?" I said as I wiped my nose with my sleeve.

After collecting some of Dax's blood, Abadamn then slit his wrist with his nail and let it bleed into the glass container.

"My dear Destry, what does it look like I'm doing? I'm saving your lover" he grinned.

"But-"

"Do not question it my little half blood, just think of it as an apology gift. I will deal wit Dax myself"

With that said he poured the mixed blood into Ryan's mouth. The burns slowly started to heal along with the massive bite mark on his neck.

"Now I want you and Jeremy to get out of here before I change my mind and decide to kill you" he said with a smile.

Jay picked up Ryan and handed him over to me. I held him bridle style and tilted my head down to kiss his cheek.

"Oh how sweet. One of my guards will show you the way out and I hope to see you again soon" Abadamn chuckled.

"Now what to do with you.." he walked over to Dax, but just before I could see what happened next, the door had closed and a scream of pain was only heard.

.::Ryan's POV::.

Something was missing I felt oddly cold. I reached to feel the spot beside me. It was empty which caused me to panic. Where was Destry? Was he okay? I had to see him but I couldn't open my eyes. It was like I was trapped in a nightmare. I didn't even realize the sounds I was making until someone took my hand.

"Shh it's okay, I'm here" his voice was soothing. I was embarrassed with myself. When did I turn into such a baby? Des chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"You're blushing" he whispered.

Blushing? What did he mean I was blushing? Vampires couldn't blush.

"Don't bullshit me Destry Nyxe" I mumbled.

He laughed and kissed my lips this time.

"If you don't believe me, open your eyes babe and go see for yourself"

At first it was a struggled to open my eyes but eventually I managed to do so. I slowly got up and walked over to the mirror.

Destry came up behind and wrapped his arms around me making me jump. I was so focused on the person in the mirror, the slightest thing could make me jump.

"Am I..." I was lost for words.

"No you're still a vampire but according to Jay, since you drank Abadamns blood it gave you some human characteristics"

He smiled and walked over to the curtains, pulling them open. I flinched back but it was too late the sunlight had hit me.

"Huh? I'm not burning.." I looked at my hands and chest. I then walked back over to the mirror and touched my face.

"That's not even the best part" he smiled "listen, you have a heart beat"

If it was possible my smile could have gotten bigger. I had a heart beat! Also I could sleep and dream, I could blush. Well, I wasn't too happy about that one.

Destry raised an eyebrow. "Quit checking yourself out babe, that's my job" he winked.

Already I felt my face heat up. Damn, that was going to be hard to get use to. Des laughed and pulled me into his arms. I tilted my head up to kiss his lips. His hands ran down my back, I knew where they were headed. Luckily, someone cleared their throat, making us pull apart from each other. I smirked and Destry cursed under his breath. 

"It's alive!" Jay shouted, raising his arms up. 

I rolled my eyes and playfully punched his shoulder. Everyone was okay, everyone except for her. Thought I guess she was okay in a way. I shook my head from those thought. They would only make me cry. 

"Are you okay?" asked Destry. 

"Yeah I'm fine" I smiled. 

"You know it's a nice day out today you guys, why don't you go out for a walk? You need the tan after all Ryan" Jay teased. 

"How long are the jokes going to keep on coming?"  I narrowed my eyes at him. 

Jay smirked and ruffled my hair. I pouted and ran to the bathroom to get washed up. Destry followed along. 

"What do you think you're doing?" I raised an eyebrow. 

He shrugged and gave me a cute pout followed by puppy dog eyes. I snorted and threw a towel over his face. 

"Fine you can stay but behave"  I said as I turned on the shower.

"Do you honestly think that I'll behave?" he snorted and took the towel off of his head. 

I glared glared at him. Des held his hands up in defense. 

"Okay, but no promises" he grinned. 

I rolled my eyes and grabbed onto the edge of my shirt, then lifted it over my head and tossed it to the side. Destry didn't bother taking off his clothes, he was to busy watching me instead.   

"Take a picture it'll last longer"  

"Why should I take a picture, when I could look at the real thing whenever I want?" 

Oh that did it, not only did my face feel heated, but my whole body did too. Des walked over to me and grabbed onto the waistband of my pants, while I grabbed onto his shirt. "Why don't we help each other get undressed?" I smirked. He nodded and began to get my pants off. I pulled off his shirt and started working on his pants as well. The steam from the shower began fogging up the room.  

"Like I wasn't already hot enough" I groaned, kicking off my pants. 

Des laughed and stumbled into the shower with his pants around his knees. I giggled and helped him out of them then crushed my lips against his. Our tongues thrust in and out of each others mouth between kisses, mixing tastes together.

Once we shut the shower door it immediately started to fog up. The only clear parts, that were soon covered with steam, were the hand prints left behind by both of us. Destry's hand dragged down it, a moan escaped from his lips as I scratched my fangs against his neck.  

His hands then went to my back, where his fingers lightly traced down my spine. They then rested on top of my ass, pressing down to give it a squeeze.  

I squeaked and jumped forward, causing us both to slip. Destry's back hit against the wall with a semi- loud thump.

"You guys alright in there?" Jay knocked on the door. 

Blush formed on my cheeks. Destry pressed his lips together to keep from laughing. 

"Uh y-yeah, we're fine" I stuttered. 

"Alright.." 

Soon as I heard Jay's footsteps wonder off to a different part of the cabin, I smacked my hand down on Destry's chest and glared at him. 

"Just for that all we're going to do is shower now" I pulled away from him. 

"Wasn't that what we were doing already?" he smiled at me innocently. 

"Just hurry up and shower" I pecked his lips.

Des and I walked around down for the rest of the day, until we decided to settle down in the park where we had our first kiss. 

"You know it's not polite to stare at someone Ryan" he chuckled. 

"Who said I was polite?" I continued to stare at him. 

He shook his head and stared at me back. His eyes were so blue I could just stare into them forever and never get bored. And his lips I could kiss them all day, every minute starting now.  

I pressed my lips against Destry's in a deep kiss. He responded by kissing me back just as deeply, holding the side of my face.  

Sadly though, the moment was ruined by once again, the clearing of a throat.  

I looked up to see a man, clearing disgusted, and his two sons about the age of ten and eight. 

"There are other people here you know, families, so why don't you two go do that some where else?" He said in a surprisingly calm tone. 

"And if we don't?" I asked, smiling. 

"Well then I'm going to have to make you leave, my boys don't need to be seeing this unnatural whatever you call it"  

There it is. I narrowed my eyes at him slightly, keeping the smug smile on my face.

 "Ryan.." Destry gripped onto my arm. I shook my head and kissed his cheek. The two boys quietly made gagging noises behind their dad. 

"Now I'll have you two know that-.." he started to say but stopped once I looked into his eyes. 

"Have us know what? That you were just leaving?" my eyes turned black. 

The man nodded and turned to walk away almost zombie-like. His two boys stared at me with wide fearful eyes. 

"Um boo?" I smirked then hissed in their faces, exposing my fangs to them. 

They jumped back and ran away after their father. My eyes turned back to their normal green color. I laughed to myself, flicking my tongue over my fangs.  

"You're crazy Ryan" Destry shook his head and smiled. 

"Only crazy in love" I sang. 

He snorted and shook his head again. 

It was getting dark soon so we decided it was time to head back to the cabin. Once we got there, there was no sign of Jay. Finally we were alone.  

I took Destry's hand a led him to our room. He sat down on the bed and pulled me onto his lap. We both continued our unfinished make-out session until Destry pulled away. 

"Uh Ryan?" he asked. 

"Hm?" I began to kiss down his neck. 

"Can I ask you something? It's kind of important" 

I stopped what I was doing and wrapped my arms around his neck, now looking at him face to face. 

"Sure, anything" He sighed and looked down. 

"Well I was just wondering, if you'd always want me even if.." he trailed off. 

"Des.." I sighed "I'll always want you no matter what, you should know that" 

He bit his bottom lip and looked to the side.  

"Destry, love, without you who knows what I'd be doing right now. Without you, my undead heart, with or without Abadamn's blood, wouldn't be beating if that makes sense. It only beats for you" 

I place my hand on his cheek, making him turn to look me in the eyes.  

"Bite me..please" he rested his forehead against mine. 

I squeezed my eyes shut and dug my fangs into my lip. 

"I can't, you know I can't do that to you" 

"Please all I want is to be with you" he whispered. 

I sighed and opened my eyes, looking straight into his blue ones.   

"God this is such a Twilight moment" I smiled slightly. 

"It's better than Twilight babe, it's Twinklight" he joked. 

We both laughed and smile until finally I asked. 

"Destry..Marry me" I whispered.   

"Only if you bite me" he smirked. 

I rolled my eyes and nodded. He smiled again widely and kissed me deeply. 

"I would have said yes anyways" he winked. 

"I know" I kissed him again then tilted his head to the side. "Are you sure about this?" I asked. 

"Positive" he nodded. 

I nodded as well and took a deep breath before slowly injecting my fangs.
