It's my first day of magic high school. This is where you start getting into the more complex magic. To be honest, magic high school is almost more boring than regular school. We don't even get to use magic. We just read about spells, except on the few days a year when we actually get to train.

When it comes to magic, I guess you could call me a nerd. I am the smartest magician in my class. Of course, I'm not the strongest or best looking, but I'm still good looking. I have fairly tan skin, spiky black hair, and purple-ish blue eye. I know that sounds strange but most magicians have strange colored eyes.

Anyway, today was super boring. All we did was go to our classes and the teachers explained what we'd be doing that year, and we got our books. The only fun class I have is warrior training ( WT). That is were we learn to solve problems without using magic. Some times we get to fight things using actual swords and weapons of that nature.

Later that night my friends came over just to hag out.

I have three best friends. There is Tiy, she is a blond, gold eyed girl. Her eyes look like they're made of liquid gold. Then there's Hayley, she is a brow haired, purple eyed, short girl. She might be short but she's not one you should anger. Then, last but deffently not least isTaylor. He is a big muscular, brow haired, blue eyed football player. He is the only normal looking guy in the entire school.

They all came over to my house. We sat there talking about the day, when my least favorite subject came up.

"Hey, what if a mortal started going to our school?" Tiy said.

"Impossible, mortals can't see throught the mist." Taylor said

The mist is a magical substance that keeps mortals from seeing magical things and events.

"I was just saying what if." Tiy said frowning.

"Tiy has a point, what if a mortal could see through the mist. What if the head master was forced to take him in?" Hayley said sitting up straight

"What do you think, Kyi?" Taylor asked looking at me.

"I... I don't know what I'd think. I don't think I'd care." I said honestly.

"Why do you think that way? Mortals are so stupid, so boring. Why do you have feelings for them?" Taylor asked.

"Are we really that different? We are practically the same. Take away our magic, and what are we... mortal." I said a sight hint of anger creeping into my voice.

"Okay, calm down, that won't happen any time soon." Hayley said.

For some reason I felt that there was something with that. I felt that something big was going to happen soon.
