The Next Morning - Sunshine filtering into their shared bedroom

Jimin stirred first, blinking against the light peeking through the curtains. He stretched with a soft yawn - only to realize he was being tightly hugged from behind.

"...You're awake?" he whispered, turning slightly in Jungkook's arms.

Jungkook, eyes still closed, mumbled, "No. Sleeping."

Jimin smiled. "You're talking."

"Sleep-talking," Jungkook groaned, nuzzling into the crook of Jimin's neck. "Don't move. You're warm."

Jimin giggled. "You're clingier than usual."

"Now that you're my official husband," Jungkook murmured, eyes fluttering open lazily, "I have husband rights. Morning cuddles. Unlimited skinship."

Jimin's cheeks tinted pink. "You already did that before."

"But now," Jungkook propped himself up slightly, "I can do this."

He leaned in and gave Jimin a slow, lingering kiss on the lips. Jimin blinked in surprise, his entire face warming up.

"Yah!" he squeaked, slapping Jungkook's chest. "That's not fair... You're too smooth in the morning!"

"I'm always smooth." Jungkook grinned, pinning Jimin lightly down against the pillow. "You just never noticed."

Jimin pouted and turned his face. "I did. I just didn't want to inflate your ego."

Jungkook leaned in and kissed his cheek. "Too late. It's already the size of this apartment."

They both giggled, tangled in the sheets, smiling like two fools in love.

- Kitchen, a little later -

Jimin stood in the kitchen, hair tied up messily, trying to whisk eggs for their breakfast. But Jungkook came up behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist.

"Cooking?" Jungkook whispered into his ear.

Jimin shivered. "I'm trying... You're not helping."

"I'm your emotional support husband," Jungkook said, hugging tighter. "My job is to be annoyingly sweet."

Jimin rolled his eyes fondly. "You're definitely sweet. Annoyingly, yes."

Jungkook spun him around. "Wanna taste something sweeter?"

Before Jimin could answer, Jungkook kissed him on the lips again, quick but deep enough to make Jimin nearly drop the whisk.

"Jungkook!!" Jimin gasped, face burning. "We're in the kitchen!"

"No one else is here," Jungkook smirked. "Now feed me."

Jimin scooped a bite of eggs and shoved it into his mouth, grinning. "Here. Shut up."

They both burst out laughing.

- Living Room, now afternoon -

They were curled up on the couch watching a movie. Jungkook had one arm around Jimin, who was resting his head on Jungkook's chest.

"You know," Jimin murmured softly, "this is kinda like a dream."

Jungkook glanced down. "Hmm?"

"You and me. Like this. I never thought we'd end up here."

Jungkook kissed his hair. "I knew. I just had to wait until you fell for me."

"You cocky-" Jimin started, swatting him, but Jungkook caught his wrist and kissed it.

"Say it."

"Say what?"

"That you love me."

Jimin's lips curled shyly. "I love you."

"Again."

"Yah-"

"Again," Jungkook whispered, eyes soft.

Jimin buried his red face in Jungkook's shirt and mumbled, "I love you, Jeon Jungkook. I really, really do."

Jungkook smiled like a boy who just won the whole world.

"I love you too, Jeon Jimin," he whispered. "So damn much I might explode."

Jimin laughed, teary-eyed and grinning. "Please don't explode. I just got you."

Early Evening - Outside Their House

Jimin stood near the door, dressed in soft pastels, his cheeks slightly blushed and hair gently curled. He peeked into the mirror one last time and smiled.

Jungkook came out of the bedroom, wearing a black shirt with sleeves rolled to his elbows, holding a small box in his hand.

Jungkook grinned. "You ready, pretty boy?"

Jimin turned, lips curling. "You're the one who took forty minutes on your hair. I've been ready."

"Yah! I was perfecting this look to match your beauty," Jungkook said, walking closer and pecking Jimin's cheek.

Jimin giggled, cheeks flaming. "Let's go before I melt."

They both stepped out into the warm breeze of evening.

---

20 Minutes Later

They walked down the sidewalk near a quiet park, fingers brushing now and then until Jungkook finally laced their hands together.

Jimin tilted his head. "Where are we going?"

Jungkook ran his fingers through his hair and smiled brightly at Jimin.

"Wait right here, angel. I saw a shop across the road-I wanna get something special for you."

Jimin, standing under the shade of a tree, giggled. "Jeon Jungkook, you've already bought me lunch, held my hand, kissed me like a hundred times-what else is there?"

Jungkook winked. "The most important part of a date. Flowers. Don't move, okay?"

Jungkook was already jogging across the street, looking back at Jimin with a boyish grin. "It'll take two minutes!"

Jimin laughed and watched him fondly from the other side.

"Idiot," he muttered softly, blushing.

Jungkook picked the sunflowers carefully, chatting with the old lady vendor. He held them up proudly and waved across the road. "Look! Pretty like you!"

Jimin smiled, heart full. "Come back, quick!"

Jungkook chuckled and started walking back across the road... eyes only on Jimin.

Then-

A loud honk. Screeching tires.

Jimin's eyes snapped toward the left.

A car.

"JUNGKOOK!"

Jungkook's head turned just in time to see the headlights-

And then-

Crash.

The bouquet flew from his hand and scattered on the road. His body collapsed against the pavement with a thud.

"JUNGKOOK!!!"

Jimin ran. Legs trembling, screams leaving his mouth. People gathered around in chaos.

He dropped to his knees beside Jungkook, cradling his head, crying.

"Call an ambulance! Someone-please!"

Jungkook's face was scratched and his eyes fluttered shut.

"Stay with me, Jungkook," Jimin sobbed. "Please, baby, please-stay awake. I'm right here."

Jungkook murmured something unintelligible.

"Don't sleep! Please don't sleep-!"
