"Can I ask you something?" Liv and I walk behind as Jax and Liv's friends walk ahead of us at the mall

"What?"

"Are you and Jax-"

"Woah! Hey!" I cut her off before she finishes

"Friends! I was gonna say friends!" Sure she was "I mean that's your ex's right hand man and it doesn't help that your ex is Webster High's she beast. Aren't you afraid she'll do something?"

"What can Summer do that she haven't already done to me?"

"I don't know burn our house down"

"Get out of here" I push her towards her friends.

Jax comes next to me as Liv meets up with her friends "I can't be seen walking with a bunch of niners at the mall... I know people"

I laugh "wanna ditch them?" He nods "hey Liv!" I call out to her and she turns around "Jax and I are gonna go somewhere else, meet back by the car in an hour ok?"

"Yeah!" She calls out and they keep walking.

"What do we do?" I turn to him

"Come on I'll show you." We walk and talk until we get to a frozen yogurt shop

"Froyo?"

"Best froyo ever!" He gets excited

"Not a big froyo person"

"That's an awful life to live Mitch" he walks away. I sit at a table and watches as he gets his frozen yogurt, every time he'd turn and look at me we'd smile at each other. "What do you like?" He sits across from me after getting his froyo

"Umm I don't know, I watch tv a lot and just work out"

"I can tell" he smirks "you're very muscular"

"Thank you, but don't let it fool you I wouldn't be able to carry you out of a falling building " we laugh

"I'm sure you can pick me up" I probably can

"What about you, what do you like?" He opens his mouth to answer "wait! Don't answer that, you like whatever Summer likes"

"Ouch" he eats his froyo

"Am I wrong?"

"Yes, Summer is Summer and I am Jax. We're not the same"

"Then tell me what are you into besides shopping, and gossiping?"

"I'm really into music, and poetry. I write it sometimes"

"Really? Can I read some?"

"No! They're not ready to be read by anyone"

"How many have you written?"

"Too many"

"Well I hope I can read them someday"

"Maybe" he smiles.

He looks past me and his smile fades, his face expression turns into worry "what is it?" I turn to see what he's looking at

"My ex Brandon is here" he quickly looks down

"Is that bad?"

"Yes! He's insane, and we broke up like 5 months ago"

"Well he's walking towards us"

"Shit!" He tries to grab his things to leave but the guy reaches us

"Wow well look who didn't waste time" he stands in front of our table "hey Jax, Jax's new boyfriend" it's obvious this guy doesn't go to our school

"He's not my boyfriend Brandon"

"Well you could've fooled me, you two seem real cozy in here"

Jax looks up at him "is there something you want?"

Brandon smiles "Jaxon don't be a bitch I'm just saying hi"

And this is where I step in "excuse you! Don't talk to him like that"

He throws his hands up laughing "woah we're cool, who are you his bodyguard?"

"He's none of your business Brandon just leave"

"Fine I'll go" he turns to me "but fair warning not Jax's boyfriend" he leans closer to me "he's all talk and no game, I wouldn't waste my time"

"Thanks for the warning"

"You're very welcome, it was nice seeing you Jax, hope we can do this again." He walks away

I grin "you dated that guy?"

He smiles embarrassed "don't judge me! He was better when we were together, and plus he's really hot"

I raise an eyebrow "if you say so."

"Why is there a ticket on my car?" I walk into the dean's office after school after finding a ticket on my windshield

"I don't implement the tickets"

"Yeah but you're who we talk to about them right? I didn't do anything wrong"

"If you got a ticket then obviously you did something wrong"

"I didn't do anything wro-" as I'm talking I look out of the window facing the hallway and I see Summer, smiling, and waving the pass around. I turn to the dean "forget it I see the problem." Leaving the office I walk up to her "my parking pass, really?"

"Petty I know but I had to get your attention somehow"

"I don't know why I have to keep asking you, but what do you want Summer?"

"Call me when you figure it out" she throws my pass on the floor and walks away.

Taking out my phone I text Jax 'hey what are you doing right now?'

I leave walking to my car and Jax replies 'getting ready for work'

'Ok... I'll drop you off I need to talk to you'

Pulling up to Jax's house after the drive from school I wait in the car for him. Few minutes later he leaves his house and walks to my car getting in "hey" he buckles up

"Hey" I reply pulling away

"What'd you want to talk to me about?"

"Summer got into my car and stole my parking pass causing me to get a ticket"

"Oh seriously? Why would she do that?"

"I know you know Jax, you're her best friend"

"Fine she told me, but only after she did it!"

"And you didn't think to give me a heads up? I got a ticket!" he doesn't reply "what does she want from me?"

"She wants you to talk to her"

"Why?"

"She misses you Mitch" I pull up to the country club "just talk to her" he leaves.

Just talk to her his words replay in my head, how am I suppose to talk to Summer? What do I have to say to Summer?
