Jax pov

"I miss him" I walk into the kitchen pouting as my mom washes dishes after dinner

"You guys are still fighting?"

I sit on the counter behind her "yes! And I spent like an hour in my room staring at our texts, at one point I swear the text bubble popped up then disappears. That means he wants to talk to me right?!"

"What are text bubbles?" She turns to me

"Ughhh" I grunt rolling my eyes "I need Summer" I jump off the counter. "I'm about to tell you something and yes it's serious" she stops and turns to me "I think I should talk to someone about the fire and the coma. I think about the fire a lot mom and it's hard for me to sleep at night because all I dream about is being stuck in that room again, a therapist might really help."

"Of course honey, if you think it will help then we'll start looking for someone" she smiles "you're my baby so whatever it takes"

She hugs me with her wet soapy hands "eww mom come on!" I move away from her "I'm gonna go pine over Mitch hoping he'll call"

"Why don't you just talk to him? I've seen you run to each other for less"

"It's more of a test really, I want to see how long it'll take him to apologize"

"Don't play games with boys honey they get bored quick"

"Mitch is no boy mom, and it's not a game it's a test." I walk to my room. Taking out my phone I go to my photo library and start to flip through the pictures I take of Mitch when he's asleep, what? You don't take pictures of your hot boyfriend when he's asleep? I love when he spoons me while we're sleeping, when he's deep asleep his muscles tightens up around me and I don't think anything else makes me safer.

Exhaling loudly I stare at the ceiling, I'm gonna see him tomorrow and it's gonna be torture.

"The one day I actually have a good reason to skip you want to go to school" I complain to Summer as she drives

"I want to see Cam, we had such a great night last night, and after our date he slept over" she grins wiggling her eyebrows at me "if you know what I mean"

"You're such a dork! But you know if I see Mitch I'm going to give in like a dumb idiot and just forget we're fighting right"

"It doesn't take Mitch to prove you're an idiot" she laughs so I shove her "and it was so easy for me to ignore him when we were fighting, why can't you?"

"No it wasn't! Every time you and Mitch fought, which was everyday by the way, you'd be waiting by his car, or already in his room making up"

"He's hard to ignore" she has no fucking clue. "If you see him just go the opposite way"

"Summer Adams telling me to run from my problems?" I turn to her

"I may be a bitch but I'm a sympathetic bitch" we smile. Getting to school she parks in her regular spot and we get out "now remember we're popular, boys are beneath us, and we don't let lesser bitches get to us." she walks around the car putting her Ray Bans on.

"The pep talk I need every morning" I follow next to her

"Hey Summer" Abby Elms calls out to Summer

She turns to me "ugh kiss ass Abby" then turns to Abby who's walking towards us "hey Abby! Cute skirt!"

"Thanks! It's custom made"

"How original, later" we walk past Abby "custom made means ugly right?" She laughs and we walk in. Ignoring her snarky comments at people I keep a look out Mitch "there he is!" Summer says and I jump looking around

"Mitch? Where?"

"Not Mitch, Cam" I take a breath "later" her heels ring in my ears as she abandons me for her boyfriend.

Walking to my locker I look everywhere for him but he's nowhere to be found, so I calm down and open my locker taking out my books "hey cutie"

I turn to see Shana and Mel walking towards me "hey girls I'm so excited for Friday night"

"Us too! Drinks, and I got Connor to DJ so everything's set"

"You girls are the best!"

"Aren't we?" We all laugh along "but what's up with Mitch? He got weird when I told him about the party yesterday"

"Yeah he's hell bent on getting me to stay home, Mitch's not really into parties"

"Still can't believe you guys are together now"

"Yeah and Summer's taking it so well" Mel adds

"She hasn't totally lost it yet so I think we're cool."

"We should go you're man's coming" Shana grins hinting behind me.

Turning around I see Mitch walking towards us and I shut my mouth to keep it from watering, his straight face, and the way that leather jacket fits him fuck! I can already feel myself caving "don't leave me alone with him" I quickly turn to them and say behind me as he gets to us. "Mitch" I try to act cool when he stops in front of us

Pretending to take books out of my locker I avoid eye contact with him "how are you feeling?" Oh my god I want to give in

"Fine, and yes I'm still mad at you, and yes I'm still going to the party"

"Great" he walks away.

"Once! He spoke to me once yesterday! And somehow he managed to drive me home after school without saying a word to me!" Summer drives to school on Thursday morning

She laughs "how the hell did he manage to do that?"

"He literally walked up to me and took my bag from me, carrying it all the way to his car while I followed behind him like an insane dum dum yelling at him." I shake my head "he's nuts right? He can't keep this up for much longer"

"I don't know what to tell you man Mitch is stubborn"

"Do you know anyone more stubborn than I am?" She turns to me shaking her head no "then I'm gonna beat Mitch at his own game" I smirk.

I figured out how to not fall for him when he's around me, if I don't look at his beautiful face then it'll be easier to ignore him.

Walking into school "good morning baby" Summer grins as Cam walks to her wrapping his arms around her and kissing her, his tongue visibly down her throat and she starts to moan

"Oh my god! We're at school!" I yell pulling Summer away "disgusting"

"Morning Jax" Cam smiles at me as they wipe their lips

"Good morning Camron" I fake smile at him "I'm gonna go avoid Mitch, you two try not to have sex in the hallway" I walk away.

My classes go by pretty quickly thank god I don't have any with Mitch, since it's lunch now I'm gonna beg Summer to leave and grab lunch off campus. As I'm walking I see Liv with people I'm assuming are her friends "hey Liv" I stop in front of her

She smiles wide as her friends stand next to her smiling too "hey Jax!"

"Love the makeup, really cute" I complement her

"Thank you Jax, you always look so good, like all the time" she babbles and her friends giggle

"Thanks, quick question where's your brother?"

"Oh I'm not sure, Mitch and I don't really talk at school so I never know where he is" as she's talking to me I get a text, looking at my phone I read the text from Summer football field now!

"Ok thanks anyway" I rush away. Walking to a back exit, I walk out to the field. As I continue to walk out I notice something, "Mitch?" I stand there watching as he plays football shirtless with Cam and Cam's friends. Turning around I look for Summer who's sitting in the bleachers and I run to her "is that Mitch playing football with Cam?!" I climb the bleachers

"Yes and they're both shirtless" she sits back with her shades on

"How the hell did that happen?"

"When I got out of class Cam was waiting for me, as we're walking I stop to talk to Mitch and Cam just invites him to play with them." Oh my god he's so hot and sweaty out there "I think he sees you" I can see him watching me talk to Summer as he plays

"Fuck he's so hot! I swear if he comes over here Summer I'm gonna kiss him, I have zero will power"

"I don't blame you look at Cam, we're about to have such hot sex after this. You and Mitch should have angry fight sex, no one's better at sex when he's mad more than Mitch" as if I'd know. Going quiet I don't reply to her comment and she turns to me as I try to hide the fact that Mitch and I haven't really had sex yet "you two have had sex right?"

I could lie and say yeah but I know she'd just ask him and Mitch would never lie "no" I sigh admitting "but only because I've been trying to take things slow"

"Never thought I'd hear you say I and take things slow in the same sentence"

"I know! But I'm just trying to consider his feelings, I think he wants to have sex but every time things starts to heat up between us I quickly stop or change the subject" what if he doesn't like it? Mitch's never had sex with a guy before and I don't want it to be weird for him.

"Cam and I had sex like our third date" she flaunts

"Thanks slut but you're not helping"

"Ok fine, just casually mention it to him and see what he thinks. If you're both on

the same page then it'll be easier"

"Actual advice, thank you"

"Shut up they're coming over here!" She quickly sits up fluffing her hair

"What!" I turn to see then running towards us "oh my god how do I look?" I panic

"Fine! You look fine" Cam walks over sitting next to Summer "you look so good out there baby" they start to flirt with each other.

Mitch stands next to me and I pick up his water bottle standing up and handing it to him "you play football now?"

He takes the bottle from me uncapping it and taking a sip. I watch as the sweat runs down his stomach as he looks away, moving the bottle from his lips he catches me checking him out "are you done being mad?"

"Nope. Summer wanna go get some-" I turn to find her hardcore making out with Cam "gross" grabbing my bag I walk past Mitch leaving the bleachers.
