"Are you sure you still want to go to this party?" I ask Jessie as she ruffles through her closet looking for something to wear "I mean it probably won't be fun for us"

"Why wouldn't it?"

"I don't talk to anybody there so there's going to be no one to introduce you to and plus it's my ex girlfriends house, you of all people said that was weird"

"I did but you told me I'd be ok remember? And plus I don't need to be introduced, you know me that's all that matters" she goes quiet for a second "ok I'm ready wanna see?"

I sit up on her bed "yeah come out"

She slowly walks out of her closet and as soon as I see her a smile grows on my face "you like it?" She asks walking to the mirror "I don't wear dresses often but I thought why the hell not"

Standing up from her bed I walk towards her standing in front of the mirror, I stand behind her admiring how good she looks "you look amazing"

She blushes "shut up no I don't"

"Yes you do!"

She turns to me wrapping her arms around my neck "thank you" and kissing me.

I drive up to the gates of Summer's house and I hear Jessie gasp next to me "this is your ex's house?!" I nod yes "it's beautiful! So big!"

"Wait till you see inside." We park and get out of the car, I start to walk but notice Jessie is still standing "what's up?"

"I don't think I belong here"

Walking back to her "what do you mean?"

"Come on Mitch look at this house! You've been to my house I definitely do not belong in there"

"Jessie you can't think like that, I'm right here no one in there will say anything to you. You went to Shana's house in Calabasas, why didn't you freak out then?"

"Trust me I did, you just weren't there to see it"

Taking her hand "you'll be fine Jessie, I promise." Walking into Summer's house everyone's already here partying, drinking, and whatever "want a drink?" I ask Jessie and she nods "I'll be right back"

Getting her to let go of her grip on me I walk to Summer's kitchen and start mixing some drinks "who's the girl?" I hear Summer next to me

"Jessie"

"She your girlfriend?"

"Are you jealous?"

She laughs "oh come on Mitch have you seen me?" She twirls

I smile "you look beautiful"

"You're so sweet" she kisses me on the cheek "anyways gotta go enjoy my party, congrats on your downgrade"

"Be nice!" I yell after her as she walks away.

We've been here a few hours now, after a couple of drinks Jessie loosened up enough to go dance and talk to other people, me on the other hand I stick to the back and just watch her. A few times as she was dancing she'd turn to me and wink making sure I can see her. She's so sexy when she's dancing, the way she's able to move, and come out of her shell is really doing it for me. "Come here" Jessie runs up to me from the dance floor taking my hand

Pulling me upstairs she starts to open doors until she pulls me into one shutting the door and she starts to kiss me. We're kissing and I open my eyes long enough to realize where we're standing "this is Summer's room" I try to pull away

"So?" Jessie keeps kissing me "they're all downstairs no one will come in"

"Come on we can find another room, this feels weird"

As we're about to let go of each other's lips and leave the bedroom door swings open and there stands Jax "oh god" he says before running out

"Jax wait!" I yell out but he runs anyway. I haven't seen him around all night and the first time I see him he sees me making out with Jessie. I feel so bad "I'll be back ok"

"Yeah sure I'll go back downstairs."

Rushing down I look around and I can't find him "have you seen Jax?" I run up to Summer who's talking to his friends

"Yeah he's leaving, said he was too tired"

"Ok" I turn to leave

But Summer grabs my arm "let him go Mitch, he didn't seem in the mood"

"I know I just have to talk to him before he leaves"

"Ok, will you take him home?"

"Yeah" I walk away and get outside. I stand there watching as he frantically walk back and forth calling  someone

"Come on dad! Pick up!" I hear him yell "God!" He's upset

Walking closer "Jax" I say his name

His back is turned to me "not now Mitch"

"Jax please look at me"

He turns to me, his eyes are red, and his cheeks are wet from his tears "is this what you want to see Mitch!? Me crying over you!"

"I'm sorry Jax"

"God why would you bring her here?!" He cries "why would you stoop so low to prove a point?!"

"What point?!" My voice gets louder than I wanted it to

"THAT YOU'RE NOT GAY! THAT I WAS A JOKE FOR EVEN THINKING YOU'D EVER LIKE ME!" He attacks me with his words "I get it Mitch" his voice gets low "you don't like me" tears run down his cheeks and he looks down at his phone screen dialing numbers putting the phone up to his ear he continues to pace as he cries "ANSWER THE FUCKING PHONE!" Without thinking he throws the phone past me towards Summer's house hitting a window, glass shattering everywhere we both jump. "Oh my god" Jax gasps

Before I can say anything Summer comes rushing out of the front door with a bunch of people "WHAT THE FUCK!?" She yells "who did that!" Standing in the middle of Summer and Jax I turn to Jax who's staring at me scared "you two are the only fuckers out here! Who broke the damn window?!"

"Summer I did it alright!" I confess before Jax says anything

"EVERYBODY BACK INSIDE!" Summer yells and people scatter back in except for Jax and I "somebody please explain to me what the hell is going on?" She walks closer to us

"I took Jax's phone and threw it" I explain

"Why!"

"Because..." I haven't thought that far yet

"Because I came onto him!" Jax blurts out "I made a past at him"

"What!?"

"That's not true!" I try to cut in

"Yes it is!"

"Jax you hit on him?"

Crying "yes... I'm so sorry Summer"

"Go home" she says to him then turns to me "I warned you" and walks back inside.

"Summer wait!" Jax tries to chase after her but I stop him

"Let her go" I hold his arm

"Get off!" He pushes me "why do you have to ruin everything!" He continues to push me "why'd you have to let me get close!" He starts to sob against my chest

Wrapping my arms around him he buries himself into me still sobbing "its gonna be okay Jax"

"How do you know that?"

"I don't" I continue to hold him as he cries.

Standing in front of Summer's house with my arms around Jax isn't how I pictured tonight "Mitchell?" I hear Jessie's voice behind me

Jumping out of my arms Jax wipes his face "h-hey Jessie"

"Hi" she waves to him "Mitch I've been looking for you"

"I know I'm sorry"

"That's alright when you have a chance would you mind taking me home?"

"Sure just give me a few minutes and I will"

"No take her now" Jax jumps in "we're just about done here right?"

"Jax come on"

"No Mitch I'm fine, take her home"

"Is that what you want?" I ask him

"Is that what you want?" He says it back to me.

This is it right? I have to choose, between the cool girl I've been getting to know, or the guy I don't want to lose.
