"Rule number one in this place..." Whispered Stephen the other day to Trevor after they all ate and did their chores- if they had any,
"I've read the rules already." Interrupted Trevor, talking a little above a whisper.
"Shh!" Hissed Stephen, "not those!" He whispered, "I'm talking about the unspoken ones. If you want to survive here you'll need to know them before you figure it out on your own. Its not a nice experience, trust me, I'd know." He said and Trevor shrugged, not that scared of a bunch of retards.
"For starters; you'll have to tell them your story if they ask." He said in a very small whisper, and Trevor frowned.
"That's so stupid! " Trevor almost yelled, but quickly calmed down after seeing Stephen's expression.
"What if I'm not mentally prepared? I don't feel comfortable telling it just like that!" That thought disgusted him, only the thought of saying to another stranger what he'd been through in that hell called home makes him want to vomit.
"What if I refuse?" He finally asked Stephen.
"They'll think you're a stuck up, that you think you've been through more then them. And give you a hard time." Stephen shrugged and looked at Trevor blankly.
Trevor's first thought when he woke up was, 'where am I?'. He looked around and then realization hit him, making his heart sink in a little, and he winced.
He spotted Stephen in the bed on the other side of the room, still asleep. His lips were slightly parted and he was snoring lightly. Trevor smiled a little at the cute sight.
He decided that he's not gonna come out here, he felt enough rejection from his family and what so called friends just because his gay. He was hoping for a fresh start.
He got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom brushing his teeth and just glancing at himself in the mirror.
He looked average, he had brown shaggy hair and blue eyes, since both his parents had blue eyes, and in general they were a family of blue eyes, which is pretty cool in his opinion.
He didn't have some amazing six pack or a nice tan.
He was still going through puberty, which meant zits just loved to pop up on his face at the worst time and location.
His little sister had the exact same eyes. Hers though, were much more beautiful. They always looked full of life, well most of the time.
He sigh and opened his closet taking out a T-shirt and left his PJ pants still on, and jogged down stairs.
"Morning! I'm Nate, you are?" She smiled at him and he nodded, "Trevor."
"Oh well, come get some breakfast Trevor!" She showed him a bit around the kitchen and then left to wake up the others.
He smiled as she almost broke a vase on her way, she was the nicest one he met so far. And the clumsiest.
He went over and grabbed a cup making himself some tea and a sandwich, "morning.." He jumped a little when he heard a lazy voice entering the kitchen.
"Morning." He answered and the sleepy boy seem to awaken, "hey! You're the new kid!" He smiled and Trevor's heart skipped a beat, he looked extremely adorable with his messy hair and awkward smile.
"Yep. That's me. Trevor by the way, you?" Trevor recognized him from when he came the other day, he was the boy with black hair and way too many bracelets.
"Daniel," he smiled back, oblivious to Trevor's real reason for the smile and they shared a high five, "awesome.." He mumbled going back to sleepy mode and grabbed himself a cup too.
Seconds after that everyone came down stairs, lucky I woke up early. With all of them here at once it was impossible to move.
Stephen told him there are 9 teenagers from ages 14-19 currently, which is less then usual.
He also told him which ones to stay away from. He didn't remember all of them, god he'd seen so many new faces and heard so many names he didn't remember most of them.
But he did remember one. His name was Joey, he had curly blond hair and was around 19, he'd been here the longest. He first came here when he was 14, stayed for three months which is the most you could stay, and went to a foster family, not even a year later his foster parents had to kick him out because all the trouble he was making, on purpose. So since then he'd be here for a while, then some time in a different foster family. Moving all the time. He was quite the troublemaker. Now that he was soon turning 19 they will be kicking out if here too, probably help him catch up on school if he wants and help him stand on his feet before they let him go.
Trevor was so shocked on how they haven't give up on him yet, he heard some nasty things he'd done. And they could've done a really good job with him, too. If Joey wasn't such a stubborn asshole begging to fuck up his life.
Trevor walked over to the table and sat down, sipping on his tea.
"Hey," he looked up at another boy, who looked about 15 years old or less, "I'm Ronnie, you're new right?" He sat down next to Trevor and pushed some of his black bangs out of his face, waiting for Trevor to answer.
"Uh yeah. That's me! The new kid.." He mumbled the last part and shook his head, "what was that?" Asked uh... What was his name again? Tommy? Hell if he knew. "It's Trevor, I'm Trevor." He cracked a smile and thought about how many times he had said his name in the last 24 hours. World record.
"Hey Trevor." He said before sipping on his hot chocolate, picking at his sandwich lazily.
"Look what we've got here," he dragged the 'e' "oh oh oh Joey here's the new kid you've gotta see him!" Two total idiots nearly screamed throwing themselves on each other laughing even though there wasn't anything funny going in really.
"Enough! Stop screaming! And no touching stop that!" Nate came back from up stairs practically dragging Stephen, who still held on to his blanket.
The two idiots quickly jumped apart, "apologise!" She frowned at them and the both forced themselves not to laugh, "s-sorry Evan," the taller one choked out between his laughs that started to escape, "oh yes Donnie, I except your apology, and I'm awfully sorry too." Evan said sarcastically and they both fell down in laughter knocking one of the chairs down with them,
Fucktards.
Nate rolled her eyes and disappeared into the kitchen. Only now did Trevor notice how Joey, sitting quietly on the other side of the table, was watching him.
Once their eyes met, Joey still wouldn't look away, so they ended up staring at each other till Stephen cleared his throat, noticing them giving death stares to each other.
"So..." He began and Trevor's head turned around to face him, secretly happy for the reason to finally look away.
"Have you met them all yet?" He finally asked and the table grew silent, Trevor looked around seeing they all were now sitting staring at him, with Nate texting on her phone smiling, not noticing what's happening around her, standind next to the wall.
"Uhh..." Taylor looked around and recognized most of the kids, but there was only eight.
"One of them is missing." Trevor mumbled counting everyone in his head again making sure he didn't do a mistake. "Oh yeah, that would be Tyler." Stephen looked around confused, searching for T-
"Did someone call the mighty oh so great and powerful Tyler?" A deep voice came from behind them.
Trevor looked at the brown haired boy, with black eyes, it kinda scared him, those black eyes made the kid look almost... Dead.
"Stop showing off." Stephen joked and gave Tyler a shove.
Tyler stuck out his tongue and..oh dear Jesus, my beautiful Lord. Trevor almost got up to get a better look, but he stopped himself.
Tyler has a tongue piercing.
"So I guess you're the new kid?" Tyler said and set down next to Stephen, while Stephen sat to Trevor's left.
The new kid. Trevor started to hate those 3 words.
"Yeah, Trevor." He nodded and took a bite from his sandwich, so he won't have to answer anymore questions. If there even was any.
Soon everyone finished and they all helped clear the table.
When that was all done Nate gave them permission to watch TV, and they all bolted to the green and red sofas throwing pillows and trying to get a good and comfortable sit.
Trevor came in last and most sits were taken, he was gonna try and sneak out of the room before getting noticed, finally having a good excuse to be antisocial and read a book, when Stephen decided to ruin that.
"Hey yo! Trevor boy! Come sit with us!" He patted the small space between him and Tyler on the sofa.
Trevor looked up at Tyler, as in asking if he doesn't mind, half expecting him to ignore him or just be all " I don't give a fuck" since he felt Tyler was one of those kind of guys.
But no, Tyler smiled widely at him and nodded at him to come over.
Tommy, or at least that's what Trevor thought his name is, was the one who chose for them all what to watch.
Well not really, since Joey was screaming at him from his seat where to press and what channels to skip. Eventually he chose American Idol (A/N: I don't watch that so I have no idea what goes on) and they all watched in silent every now and then they would sigh annoyed because the judge was, and its quoted; " a fat ugly bold cocksucker that should go fuck himself and film me and his wife fuck."
Joey's very creative was all Trevor could comment. But of course he didn't say that out loud, he didn't have a death wish.
But Nate didn't mind, "watch your language Mr!" She scowled at him but he just shrugged it off.
When the show finally ended Trevor jumped up out of his seat, where most of the time he just tried not to get hard from being pressed like that between two extremely hot boys, he went quickly to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of cold water, thanking the torture was finally over.
"... I mean, you should've seen his face men! I swear to god he's soooo g-" Evan and Joey walked in, as soon as Evan noticed him he stopped talking and grinned at him creepily, "oh, hey there Trevor boy." He nodded towards Trevor and winked at Joey before coming to stand next to Trevor, grabbing a glass as well.
"So Trevor... What's your story?" He moved a little closer to Trevor, a bit too close. "Uh... Well you s-"
"Trevor! Here you are! Come quick I need to show you something!" It was Stephen who walked in, noddind his head to the kitchen's exit.
Trevor blushed a bit as he walked past Evan and Joey.
"What is it you wanted to show me?" Trevor asked Stephen as soon as they walked away a few good steps.
"Nothing I just heard him asking you and I remembered you're not comfortable to tell people yet so... Yeah."
"Oh God thank you! They were starting to ask questions, and I didn't know how to-"
"Trevor, are you gay?"
