I stayed in my dorm the entire weekend. I told Kit and Beam I wanted to study and not to bother me at all. The boys eere confused but hearing my tone, they knew I was in a bad mood and agreed.

I just did my chores and mugged. Ming kept calling and texting endlessly but I refused to answer. I just mugged relentlessly. I also worked on some Moon related activities.

Around 5pm, Suthee came over to see me. He wanted to chat and also see if I wanted to join him and Wai out. I was getting drinks for him when I heard knocks on my door. Suthee offered to open the door and I heard another familiar voice.

I went out to see Ming. I was stumped when I saw him. I wanted to ignore him but given Suthee was here, I kept quiet and decided to be polite.

"Yes Nong, you needed something?"

"Pha.. I wanted to talk to you."

"Wow Ming, I didn't realize that you and P Pha were so close that you can call him by his name!" I heard Suthee exclaim. Before Ming could reply, I jumped in, "we aren't. I guess Ming just was excited. Yes Ming, what is it?"

Ming watched me forlornly. I gave Suthee his drink and just then his phone rang. He went to answer it leaving me and Ming alone.

"Pha.."

"Yea?"

"I want to talk to you.."

"You ah. You always do. You have said alot."

"Please don't shut me out. What I want to say is.."

"It's not fair you shut me out and now you complain I do. I'm human too Ming and I have feelings. Since you shut me out, let's keep it that way. It's better for everyone. Everyone's hearts."

Ming kept quiet. He knew I was pissed and nothing he said would get to me now. Just then Suthee came back. He looked visibly upset.

"You ok Suthee? What happened?"

"Nothing P.. It's just.. ah nothing."

"Suthee. What is it? You can share with me. You know I will listen."

I felt Ming's eyes on me as I said that line. Just then Suthee sobbed throwing himself on me.

"Wai. He just called to share with me that his girlfriend was coming back. I didn't realize he was seeing someone. I..I.."

Suthee cried and I was stunned. I just held onto him. I could feel Ming looking at us. I didn't mean to hold onto Suthee but he was crying. I'm sure Ming would understand right? Wait, why did I care if Ming misunderstood? Ah I was going crazy.

As this interal monologue was going on in my head, Ming came over and patted Suthee on his head.

"It's ok Suthee. It get better. I know you are hurting right now but sometimes we meet the right people at the wrong time or it may be wrong because of our own doing. But it will fall into place one day. What's yours will be yours in time to come. And if it isn't, it means you deserve something better ok?"

Suthee pulled away from me, nodding his head at Ming earnestly. I ruffled Suthee's hair. I asked Suthee to stay on for dinner and then Suthee asked if we could invite Ming too.

"Erm.."

"Oh it's ok P. I..I got to go home for dinner. My brother and mom are leaving tomorrow so yea.. another day Suthee.."

Ming then bade us goodbye and left. Shit. If they are leaving tomorrow, then Ming must also be extra sad today.

I watched as he left. I sighed softly and got down to ordering dinner for myself and Suthee. But I couldn't eat and just pretended to. Suthee left around 9pm post dinner. I was washing up when I heard knocks on my door again. I opened it to see Ming standing there.

"I know I shouldn't be here. But I just finished dinner. They are leaving tomorrow. I just needed to not be alone today. I.. can I..  please.."

I pulled him in. I know I was angry but he was hurting. There was no way I was going to let him be alone. I closed the door and turned to Ming who was teary eyed.

"Come here" and I pulled him towards me, hugging him tightly. He held onto me and I didn't let go, murmuring softly some comfort.

We pulled away slowly, a minute later and he looked at me. I just pushed his hair away from his face.

"What time is the flight?"

"8am."

"That's early. OK then why don't you sleep here? I follow you tomorrow."

"Will that be OK?"

"Don't be silly. It is. I promised your mom you be looked after. And thats what I will do."

"Despite everything I said?"

"Despite everything you said. I'm not going to break my promise to her."

Ming hugged me in response, murmuring sorry endlessly. I sighed. We can't just be friends. Did he really think that way? Or was he pretending?

"I lied. We aren't just friends. But seeing Suthee around made me insecure. He was so much like you. He seemed perfect for you. Why would you want the troublemaker when you can have the perfect guy?"

"Because I love the troublemaker. He is the right one for me. Then how?"

Ming pulled away from me, stunned by what I said.

Before he could say anything, I pulled him in for a kiss.

Pha: 2 Ming: 0 I shut him up again.
