You guys might hate me after this but hey such is life(and Wattpad) enjoy ;p BTW I know it's not the same but I got the name idea from -spideypool- so thanks for that :)

I woke up to the rattling and cages and the sound of someone calling my name woke me up

"Y/n!"

I groaned and sat up

"Oh great you're okay! Suit lady said that you were gonna be okay but I wasn't sure"

"Well I'm fine now so stop worrying"

I stood up but there was a sharp pain in my neck. I hissed and my hand flew my neck.

"It seems you have a minor neck injury"

"Yeah thanks I noticed... where are we?"

"I am not sure. The container walls are hindering my sensors"

I sighed and looked around

"Wait a minute. They must have hijacked the truck and taken us to their evil lair!"

"Pete, I doubt they would have taken us-"

"Okay suit lady, we're gonna have to fight our way out of this one"

"Peter there isn't-"

"3"

"Peter-"

"2"

"At this point-"

"1!"

He ran forward and broke the container doors. He stumbled and then rolled to stop himself. I calmly walked out of the container with my arms crossed.

"I tried to tell you there probably wasn't anyone here"

I looked around seeing a lot of other containers

"Hey, where are we?"

"Good question"

"You're in the most secure facility on the Eastern seaboard. The damage control deep storage vault"

"For real? Ughh"

"No. Seriously?!"

He ran to the door and tried prying it open

"Can he get it open?"

"That door will likely remain closed until morning"

After a few more attempts he gave up on trying to open the heavy looking door. We roamed around the vault since we aren't getting out of here until morning. I made a chair out of ice and sat in between two containers that were stacked on top of other containers.

"You know I kind of feel weird not knowing your name. I mean I at least want to be able to call you something"

"You can call me what you'd like"

"Alright cool. What about... Linda... Lucy... Lucille?"

"You can call me Lucille if you'd like"

"I guess Lucille it is then"

"Hey Lucille? Is there any way I could study my abilities?"

"I can run a refresher course?"

"Okay, yeah let's do that"

"Lucille, can you enhance my hearing again? Maybe somebody's outside"

"Sure. Activating enhanced reconnaissance mode"

I listened closely to everything only to hear Peter's voice

"-Liz but then there's Y/n. We're together but I think I also like Liz too, ya' know? It's just confusing-"

"Okay, stop! turn it off!"

"Deactivating enhanced reconnaissance mode. Are you and Peter close?"

"Yeah I mean he is my... boyfriend... and I noticed he was looking at Liz a certain way but I just... didn't want to believe it"

"If I was him, I would keep you close. No matter what"

"Thanks Lucille"

I smiled sadly under my mask. My eyes got watery but I quickly blinked so that the tears wouldn't fall.

"Lucille, how long have we been here?"

"Thirty seven minutes"

"Really?"

I quickly stood up and walked towards the heavy door

"Alright I can't do this anymore. How do we get out of here?"

"It seems Peter is trying to override the time lock on the door"

"Oh... How can we speed up the process?"

"There are circuits in the back of the lock. If done correctly, you can freeze them to the right amount. It could potentially block unnecessary numbers"

"So it will only show the needed numbers, got it"

I made my way up the wall and found myself next to Peter. I ignored his presence and looked into the time lock, studying the back of it.

"Alright Lucille, which circuits?"

One space was highlighted and reached into the lock

"Switch ice crystals to mist"

"Switching"

I pointed my finger towards the circuit that was highlighted and I started to freeze it slowly

"Y/n! So the glowy thingy is basically a bomb and Ned may or may not be in danger along with the rest of the group. Also what are you doing?"

I kept my focus on the circuits so that I wouldn't mess up but Peter kept pressing the matter while typing in numbers into a calculator

"Y/n?"

"Peter, not. Now."

"What's wrong?"

"I said not now"

"You can tell me what's wro-"

"Just type in the damn numbers so we can get out of here!"

He stared at me but then nodded silently

After a while of attempts and my finger cramping, the door finally clicked and it started sliding open. I sighed and rushed out of the halfway open door. I jumped onto the trailer of a truck with Peter not too far behind me. Thankfully he didn't say anything to me and we rode in silence.

"Lucille we need to get to the decathlon quickly"

"There is a vehicle approaching on your right"

I jumped on to the car with Peter following me. I realized that if we're going to do this mission I needed to be close to him. But not necessarily.

"Lucille is there another car I could jump onto?"

"There is another one coming on your left"

"Perfect"

I jumped on the car and I avoided Peter's confused gaze

I followed Lucille's directions up until we got close to the Washington monument. I jumped off of the bus that was carrying me and I ran as fast as I could towards the monument. I tried running faster to avoid Peter but he was just as fast as me.

"Liz, I have to talk to Ned, it's really important! There's something in Ned's backpack! It's dangerous! Don't let it go through an X-ray!"

My brows furrowed in confusion

"Lucille, what's up with the glowy thing and the X-ray?"

"The explosive chitauri energy core transforms when exposed to radiation"

"Really?! Shit!"

"Liz! Liz! Damn it!"

I ran faster, dodging through the people walking in the street

Eventually we made it to the Washington monument and there was a huge explosion in the structure

"What happened, Lucille!"

"The chitauri core has detonated and caused severe structural damage to the elevator"

"Oh God"

"My friends are up there!"

I looked over and saw M.J. pointing up at the spot where the elevator had blown up

"What! Uh don't worry ma'am everything's gonna be okay"

Peter ran towards the building and jumped onto it. If I was going to save Ned and everyone else I needed to follow him. I sighed but jumped onto the building as well climbing as fast as I could.

"Estimating 10 mins before catastrophic failure. The safety systems are completely failing. The occupants are in imminent mortal danger"

"Okay Lucille! I'm going as fast as I can!"

"You now have 125 seconds until catastrophic damage"

"Excuse me!"

"Unexpected motion had caused the deterioration to accelerate"

"Well how can we- I get in there!"

"There has been a reconnaissance drone that has been deployed from Peter's suit"

"So now I have to ask him? Or worse follow him?"

"I can tell you the status of Peter's reconnaissance drone instead?"

"Thanks"

"Proceed to Southwest window"

I climbed towards the direction and stood on the slanted roof topping. I looked down and gasped at how high I was. Peter kicked the glass with his foot but it didn't seem like it was going to break anytime soon.

"He's kicking it but it isn't breaking"

"The window is four inch ballistic glass. He would need more momentum to break it"

"Or maybe I could make it fragile?"

"That would take extremely cold temperatures that would take a while to reach"

"Damn it!"

I have to leave it to him to break it. Suddenly I heard helicopters and they were surrounding us.

"Return to the ground!"

"Our friends are in there stop!"

"Stand down and return to the ground immediately!"

Peter turned back around and started climbing again. He made it to the very top of the monument and jumped off over a helicopter. A sinking feeling resonated in me when he flew over the blades but it was quickly gone when he shot a web out and swung himself into the window. It broke and I crawled in after him.

The elevator began falling again but Peter held it up as best he could with a web attached to the top of the elevator shaft

"Uh hey how ya' doin, don't worry 'bout it got 'chu"

I cringed at the attempt to disguise his voice. Ned smiled and started jumping up and down. The elevator shook and I had to settle him down.

"Ne-N-No stop jumping!"

"Sorry sir, I am so sorry!"

Peter grunted and started to pull us back up the shaft where they could be let off. We eventually made it and everyone got off. Except Liz. And I heard a loud creaking coming from where Peter was which wasn't good. Then the metal that was holding him up slipped and Liz screamed. I was about to grab her and jump out but a web shot down and she hung from it.

"You have to jump now or your injuries will be fatal"

I jumped out of the elevator and climbed my way back up to the opening in the shaft. What I didn't expect to see was Peter staring at Liz so... I don't know how to describe it.

Suddenly he fell.

As he was falling he saw me staring at him. At least he knows I know now.

It's been past the time of our rescue and we haven't talked since either. I felt like there wasn't anything to discuss. He likes Liz and that's that.

I left before everyone's parents came including May. I sat behind a close electrical box where nobody could see me.

"Are you okay Y/n?"

"I don't even know anymore. I mean why- how could he- I just... I'm confused, I'm hurt, I'm angry, but... I'm upset too..."

"Talk to him. Tell him how you feel"

"Thanks Luci"

I balled my fist and turned around, peeking from behind the electrical box. I saw Peter getting pulled by May towards her car. He looked over at me and I sighed. I closed my eyes and slid back down to the ground.

When did this get so complicated?
