Kellin's POV
"Kellin, I'm sorry but you know I can't stay here. As much as I'd love to be around you more, your dad can't know that I saw you."
"Yeah, yeah. I-I get it. Dad...and everything. I-It's fine." I said with a sigh.
I guess I couldn't convince her to stay after all.
"I'm sorry, Hun." My mom apologized again.
"No, seriously. It's fine." I lied. I was still really sad that I was going to lose her again.
"I'm gonna go see Vic. See ya later."
She said a small goodbye as I headed upstairs to my still-asleep boyfriend.
Well at least I thought he was still asleep, but there was no one in the bed.
"Vic?" I asked out, wondering where he was.
I didn't get and answer and just as I was about to start looking elsewhere in his room, I felt arms wrap around me from behind me. I let out a small, scared yelp, not expecting to be surprised like that.
"Good morning, cutie." He said and kissed from my cheek down to my neck.
I turned around in his arms to look at him and wrapped my own arms around his neck.
"Good morning." I said quietly but still loud enough to hear.
He cupped my cheeks and kissed me deeply. I smiled into the kiss as he slowly backed us up towards the bed, letting me fall onto my back on top of it and him on top of me.
It was going down to the road to get a little heated, so I stopped him before anyone came in.
"I like your hair." I said with a giggle as he held himself up in a push-up position above me.
"Oh shush. I just woke up." He responded, adding a laugh himself.
He rolled himself to the side of me and laid down. I hugged him, burying my face in his chest and taking in the scent. His smell reminded me of comfort.
"Mom said she couldn't stay here." I mumbled sadly.
"Awe. I'm sorry to hear that, baby." He offered.
I was still upset about it though.
"It's fine. At least I have you." I told him cheekily.
He laughed at my attempt of being cute. "Cheesy."

"Well, I guess I'll see you later." I said to my mom.
As great as it was knowing she was alive and being able to see her, it was twice as bad seeing her go again.
"I love you, Kell. Stay with that boy, okay? He's gonna take care of you. I can tell he's the one." She told me.
"I love you, too, Ma. Please promise to keep in touch, it was really nice seeing you again." I said.
"I will." She agreed and began walking away with her suitcase. I stood for a few minutes before running, arms open, ready to hug her and say my last goodbye. I squeezed her tightly.
"Bye, mom. Please come back." I said and she promised me she would.
I turned around and walked back to Vic, who was waiting at the airport entrance for me. I laced our fingers together for self-comfort and he let me.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I feel better now." I nodded.
Right now, I appreciated him more than ever. He was the only thing that could really comfort me the way I wanted to be comforted and we both knew that.
"I love you." I told him softly.
"I love you, too." He replied.
He had an Uber pick us up and drive us home.
It was silent the whole ride.

(Three Months Later)
Today was graduation day and I was happier than ever. I couldn't wait to get out of hell and be free! Vic and I got closer over the three months, and we're actually looking to possibly buy an apartment about six months after today.
"Are you excited?" Auntie Rosa asked with a smile as I took a bagel out of the toaster.
"Very." I said with a cheeky grin.
"I am too, Princess." Vic's voice suddenly said as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.
"That one is new." I replied to the nickname while turning around in his arms to face him.
He kissed me lightly and went about making his own breakfast.
"Yeah, but it's fitting." He replied.
"I guess I can't really disagree." I told him.
After we were officially ready, we headed off to the school. All the kids were outside taking pictures with their friends while Vic and I walked in, holding hands.
Of course all eyes turned to us. They always did. It was my fault, too. If popular Vic was dating another popular person, instead of some weird emo, then he wouldn't have lost half of his followers. He didn't seem to care much about it, though.
"Hey, Vic! Ready to get out of this hell hole?" One of his friends asked with a pound to his fist.
"I've been ready since I was born, dude." Vic replied.
I just stood awkwardly behind Vic and looked at my shoes.
"Saaaaame. So what're you planning on doing after today?" The guy asked.
"Actually, we're gonna get an apartment together somewhere downtown." Vic said as he pulled me over and wrapped an arm over my shoulder.
"Oh, that's um...cool I guess. I'll see you later, man. Hopefully at some college parties, right?" The boy asked.
"You know it." Vic clarified.
He turned fully to me and frowned.
"I'm sorry that my friends don't acknowledge you." He told me.
"It's okay, it's not the worst thing I've been through socially." I assured him with a smile.
He smiled back and re-laced our fingers together.
Around 8:45 we were told to sit in our seats, and because of our last names, Vic and I were kinda far away from each other. That's okay, though, because I'd be able to see him right afterwards. They called out every student's name and we also listened to a few speeches no one really cared about.
Afterwards, Aunt Rosa wanted us to take some pictures together. So we did.
"A little more to the left." She ordered as we posed for her small Polaroid camera.
"No, I think it's better if you go a little more to the right." A voice said behind the two of us as hands were rested on our shoulders.
"Mom?! Omigod, what are you doing here?" I asked excitedly, squeezing her in a tight hug.
"I moved down here. I found a small house that I'm renting not too far away from Rosa's." She announced.
"That's awesome! Omigod, I'm so glad to see you." I said.
We took a few more pictures and then left, going to a celebratory dinner. We told jokes and stories, and laughed at them, the smiles glued to each of our faces.
After that, Vic and I laid in bed, exhausted from the whole day. I had my head rested on his chest and his arm around my shoulder as Coraline played on our small TV.
"You wanna know something, Kell?" Vic asked all of a sudden.
"Hmm?" I questioned.
"I wanna marry you someday." He told me. "And I want to start a small little family with you. I just want you in my life forever."
I smiled up at him, blushing. "Really?" I asked.
"Of course. I can't think of anyone else I'd want to spend my life with." He said with a reassuring smile.
"I feel the same. I love you so much." I replied.
"I love you, too. Goodnight, my beautiful little princess."
"Goodnight, Daddy." I answered, almost closing my eyes.
"Kellin, did you just-" Vic said with a shocked and slightly disturbed look on his face.
"Shhhh, I'm joking. Now, sleep." I said and actually closed my eyes this time, dreaming about the life we had ahead of us.
The end.

On another note, Diamonds and Why Men Buy Them is officially over. It honestly didn't go the way I thought it would but I still like how it ended up.

There might be a sequel, I don't know yet. I have an idea for one but I'm a lazy egg.
What do you guys want?
Also, tell me your favorite moment in this story. (:
