Gumball's P.O.V

I walked into my bedroom with a sigh, stress radiating off of me. I saw Marshall sitting on the bed with his knees to his chest, staring at me.

"How was your day?" he beamed at me.

"Stressing."

He frowned as I fell on my back onto the bed.

We sat in silence for a few minutes, our breathing the only thing you could hear.

"Gumball, take your shirt off."

"What?" I sat up with wide eyes, staring at him.

"Take your shirt off. I'm gonna give you a massage."

"...Okay."

I pulled my shirt off over my head and sighed, rolling onto my tummy. He crawled onto my back and started rubbing my shoulders with his thumbs, a nice burn going through.

"I thought you didn't love me anymore. I thought you just... You just had used me. And I couldn't take the thought of that. And when no one came to me when I had nightmares or was in pain, I thought no one needed me. I thought I was worthless. I wasn't here with a purpose and I just needed to do something about it." I sobbed.

"Did you-did you try to...?" he trailed off, still not looking at me.

I nodded.

He gasped and sobbed even more, choking a little.

"DON'T YOU EVER TRY TO DO THAT AGAIN, YOU HERE ME BUBBA?!"

I whimpered and nodded once.

We didn't talk after that. All we did was cuddle and entwine our fingers together, letting the darkness and silence of sleep take over.
