Nolan

Highschool 2 of 2

Nolan honestly didn't know how he survived the two weeks of Chrissy not speaking to him. His head was telling him he was to be blamed but then the question became, What did I do?

That's probably what made this whole situation even worse. He had no idea what he did for his best friend not to speak to him for two whole weeks. Chrissy avoided him in the hallways, ignored him in class, and refused to answer Nolan's texts and calls.

He had even reduced hisself to calling Chrissy's dad and asking how Chrissy was doing. The answer became, he just needs some space.

Nolan though that he had space in his bedroom, he'd be glad to have Chrissy accommodate his room and take up as much space as his likes.

"Can I borrow a pencil?" Nolan snapped his head towards Chrissy. His mouth gaped like a fish as he looked at the boy, completely baffled.

"Y-yeah of course." Nolan fumbled through his book bag, disregarding the crumbs from the crisp he had just finished and stuffed inside his bag.

He handed it over with a smile. His heart thumping against his chest.

"So?"

Chrissy sighed warily. "Nolan, I really don't feel like talking."

Gobsmacked, Nolan couldn't help but feel a bit of his dad's impatient temper shimmer up his spine.

"Seriously, Chrissy. What have I bloody done?" He whispered harshly. "I wasn't the one you caught with another guy. I'm your best friend, why are you doing this?"

Chrissy looked down, wordlessly scribbling in his notebook. Nolan managed to watch heartbreakingly as a tear rolled down the boy's cheek and dropped on the white paper before he shot up out of his seat and asked to be excused to be the bathroom. He rushed out the room without a look back.

Nolan groaned in frustration and sat back in his seat.

"No no no no, Noly." Luca shook his head roughly, shaking out his long brown curls as Nolan tried to spoon feed him vegetables.

"Luca, you have to eat or daddy's gonna be mad." Nolan tried coaxing the toddler's mouth open, placing the spoon on Luca's sealed lips.

After Luca nearly threw the spoon down multiple times, Nolan finally gave up. He sighed, placing the food in the sink before lifting the toddler out of his high chair.

"You're eating later, got it, troublemaker?"

Luca just giggled and stuffed his tiny fist in his mouth, babbling nonsense. The kid was almost three and still acted like he was one. Nolan took him towards the little play area designated for the twins and placed him down next to Micah who was concentrated on a puzzle.

Although he loved his brothers with all his heart, sometimes they could be a handful and he pondered how his dad would have dealt with all of them without Harry.  He was officially on babysitting duty tonight though because Harry and his dad had their date night and Xander was at nans.

He had a few homework to do but he would procrastinate until tomorrow probably. He decided for now he'd just watch a movie until his parents came home.

Half an hour into The Walking Dead episode, Luca starts to whimper, grabbing his attention, and toddles over to him.

"Noly, I hungwey." He sniffled, wiping his face roughly.

"Yeah, I thought you would be." He muttered and picked him up. He walked towards the fridge and took out the bottle of porridge. He shook it a bit and then placed it in the microwave to wave.

"Are you hungry, Micah?" He called to the toddler in the living room.

"No!" The toddler screamed back. Nolan nods to himself and when he looks back at the microwave there's one more minute on the timer.

Luca, busy with playing with Nolan's short dirty blond hair, jumps when the doorbell rings. Nolan furrows his eyebrows in confusion.

He's not expecting anyone. He was also sure his parents would have told him if they were expecting anyone. Nolan walks to the living room with Luca firm on his hip, walking quicker towards the couch when he hears his phone starts ringing.

His breath catches as he sees Chrissy's name pop up, followed by a text on the screen.

Open the door

"Who is it!?" Luca yells at the top of his lungs, right in Nolan's ears at that. Nolan swallows thickly and walks towards the door, pulling it open.

It's like he hasn't seen the boy in weeks--which he has because; school-- but at his door, with a cautious smile on his lips.

"Chwissy!" Luca beams brightly, trying to stretch his body into Chrissy's arms.

"Hiya, kiddy." He pinches lightly at Luca's cheeks then turns his eyes back to Nolan. "Can I come in?"

Nolan only has a second to gape slightly before he's nodding profusely. He steps aside immediately.

"Are you babysitting?" He was wearing black leggings today with an oversized neon pink jumper. Nolan still thinks he's the most stunning person he's ever laid eyes on.

"Something like that," he muttered and closed the door. Bending down, he places Luca on his feet. The toddler ran away towards the living room without another word.

"So uh..." Nolan scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "How are you?"

"Better, I guess." Chrissy shrugged, making sweater paws with his fists. He exhaled a long breath. "Look Nolan, I'm sorry for the way I've acted lately-"

"Can we sit in the living room?" Nolan interrupted. "To get comfortable." He hated this stuffy tension between them. Everything they did together was usually lighthearted and easy but ever since Chrissy started dated Logan...

"Yeah." He walked in front of Nolan, leading the way towards the living room. The twins were play fighting with their ninja turtle action figures, making quite a lot of noise.

They sat down on the couch and Nolan reached to switch off the telly.

"So...like I started off saying before. I'm sorry for the way I've treated you lately." He fidgeted with his hands and looked down. "I was just really heart broken. Logan was my first boyfriend and I just messed up and I'm so sorry." His eyes were a glass of emotions, wide and sheen.

"Chrissy..."

"I'm in love with you Nolan." He blurted.

Nolan's heart stuttered to a pause as he stared openly at the boy in front of him. "We are such idiots."

"What?"

"Oh my God." He ran a hand down his face and took a deep breath before displaying all the emotions he's felt for Chrissy in his eyes, hoping he conveyed how much he adored the boy. "I think I'v been in love with you since the first time I met you."

A sharp breath left Chrissy's mouth instantly, his unique orbs bright and twinkling. "What?"he repeats.

"It's my fucking fault you even ended up dating Logan. If I had told you how much I wanted us to be together and how much it would hurt to see you with any other guy--if I would have just told you- you would have never dated that asshole." He babbled, grasping Chrissy's palms and holding them tightly. It was a foreign feeling to him, his heart nearly ready to explode."You're my best friend and the thought of you rejecting me and me potentially ruining our relationship scared the living shit out of me."

"I felt the same way." Chrissy laughed wetly, wiping his damp eyes. "So you liked me all along?"

Nolan nodded, his body moving like it was magnetic to Chrissy's force. Soon enough he found his lips attached to the soft, sweet, flesh that he's been dreaming about almost every night. Chrissy proved a little more experienced than Nolan, guiding Nolan by moving his lips slowly around in just the right places.

Nolan felt as if his body was haywire, a fire igniting inside him. His body unconsciously moved closer to Chrissy, placing his arms on the boys hip as he soon took dominance of his lips. He memorized the way Chrissy would bite softly at his lips and the little sounds he made that gave Nolan goosebumps across the expanse of his skin.

When he felt his mouth becoming sore and his lungs screaming for air, he finally released him, pressing their foreheads against each other. Their fast breaths mingled and created a spark between the small space.

Nolan leaned forward and pecked Chrissy one last time, savoring his sweetness. "Love you," he exhaled.

"Love you too." Chrissy's lips pulled out into an adorable smile.

****

Despite what he feared, nothing significant really changed between them. There was no forced clinginess--since they already had a routine of sleeping in the same bed and walking each other to their classes--and there was also no sense of awkwardness.

They were still normal best friends who just happened to make out at night and love each other till the moon and back. The feeling was indescribable, even his parents--without any knowledge of Chrissy and Nolan's situation--picked up on Nolan's mood. He was sure they've already guessed their relationship by now.

They've also just started their junior year of high school. Chrissy was 16 and Nolan was two months away from turning the big 17. People who didn't already know, knew they had to be a couple. It was pretty obvious and they weren't really subtle about their PDA anymore. With their increase of age also meant, puberty.

Nolan eased into puberty his sophomore year, the simple voice change, boners every morning, and his body increasing in length and build but Chrissy. If he thought his own change was just out of luck, Chrissy practically matured into a freaking model. He was all tan skin, curvy body, and his face looked a little more angular.

It was no wonder they couldn't keep their hands off each other. They were proper magnets when near to each other. They haven't exactly gotten farther than a few hand jobs and dry humps because they wanted it to be special. Chrissy had been hinting at it for awhile now too, placing Nolan's fingers between his hole when they made out and whispering dirty words into Nolan's ears while they dry humped like rabbits. Yeah, Nolan was sure Chrissy was up for it, literally. But Nolan knew Chrissy loved romance and he wouldn't treat their first time so recklessly. He wanted it to be perfect.

So he went to Harry.

"Knock knock." He voiced, pushing open Harry's office door.

Harry frowned at him, his phone to his ear. "...yeah, listen I'll get back to you on that. Just make sure the meeting is placed in my schedule, yeah?"

Nolan patiently took a seat in front of the man, eyeing the dark oak setting of the room and the numerous sets of papers on Harrys desk.

"Sorry about that." Nolan's head turned towards Harry who started taking the folders off his desk and into the small cabinet under his desk. He shot Nolan a smile. "Whats up?"

Nolan sat back and folded his hands nervously in his lap. "Uh, I wanted to talk to you...about something."

"Sure, anything." He sat up, looking every bit like the authoritative figure he already was.

"I wanted to talk about uh," He cleared his throat and fidgeted in his seat. Harry gave him an encouraging look. "Talk about, uh, sex."

Harry's eyes widened considerably, looking at Nolan like he wasn't expecting those words to come out his mouth.

"Oh."

"Yeah." Nolan grimaced, avoiding Harry's eyes for a quick second.

"Well, uh, what do you wanna know?" Harry asked, still looking a bit off. Nolan kind of expected this reaction since this topic was foreign in their household.

"Well, I think you might already know that Chrissy and I are dating?"He started off.

"This I know, yes."

"And basically I just wanted to know a little bit more about sex." He stated then winced slightly. "Not that like we've had it already but just like if and when we do, uh, have sex, I'm being safe." Of course they've learn some stuff in their health class and science classes but he could trust Harry to go into better details.

"I'm happy thats your motive and that you're not just thinking about the pleasure." Harry smirks and picks off a lint from his sweater. "We definitely don't want any more babies in the house right now, yeah?"

Nolan internally winces but nods tightly.

"So we can start off with condoms. You know how to use them right?"

"I think so?" He answers. "From what I've learned in health."

"Okay well, whoever decides to top will have that responsibility and as for whoever decides to bottom, they'll have to get signed up for some birth control.

I'm assuming you plan to...?"

"Top, yeah." He says quickly, itching his pants leg.

"So Chrissy will have that responsibility." Harry's lips lifted. "You also need to be cautious about tearing and hurting Chrissy in any way."

"I would never do that."Nolan sits up defensively.

"Not purposely, you wouldn't. But accidents happen and to prevent that you need to make sure he is prepared before you decide to get too excited and accidentally hurt him."

"By using my fingers?" He asks boldly. Something about Harry made him feel comfortable to talk about stuff like this, which is strange.

"Or any other acts..."Harry left the sentence open. "But you have to make sure this is what you want. You should never rush into sex, yeah? Not telling you that you shouldn't because I can't control you and you'd probably do it anyway. But just make sure you're both ready for such a big step."

Nolan nodded, taking in Harry's words. "I get it. Yeah." He spoke. "I also wanted to ask how do I make it, like romantics and sh--stuff?"

Harry smirks. "Well me and your dad's first time-"

Nolan blinked in horror, sitting up straight. "No no, thats okay." He quickly stops Harry's words. The older man started cackling into his fist while Nolan pouted at him.

"Don't worry I wasn't going to tell you."Harry grins in amusement. "But I think good old chocolates, flowers, candles should it. You'll find that you don't need to be romanced in order to get in the mood. But for your first time, I would recommend going old fashioned."

Nolan nodded thoughtfully. It was a definitely a good idea speaking to Harry.
