"I need a car," Ben walks in the kitchen as his parents drink their coffee before work. "I have no one to take me to school, and I'm tired of calling Serena" he complains.

"We can't just buy you a car Ben," his dad answers.

"Why not? I'm responsible, I'd make sure nothing happens to it, I'd never text and drive, and also I was looking online and found some really cheap used ones."

His parents whisper back and forth to each other while he watches, "ok" his mom starts and he grins "we're not buying you a car," he frowns "but you can drive mine and if you do good we'll talk about the possibility." She hands him her keys

"Seriously?" They nod and he takes the keys, "thank you! I swear I will take care of this car like it was my life!!"

"You better!" His mom calls out as he leaves the kitchen, getting in his mom's car Ben drives to school. Parking he rushes out to his friends in their regular hang out spot in the courtyard facing the parking lot.

"Guess what?!" He stops in front of them excited

"What?" They look at him as he sits next to Brooke

"My mom's letting me use her car," he shows them the key.

"Ben that's amazing! Finally!" Brooke reacts

"Thank god I was getting tired of you asking people for rides" Ali answers.

As the 3 friends sit there Ben hears Mackie's bike and turns watching him park, it's been a week since they ended things and they've both been ignoring each other. Ben does miss him even though he's faking for his friends, but thinking he could be with Mackie when they're not in the same social circle backfired. Carrying his helmet and jacket Mackie looks over at Ben as he walks towards the school and Ben quickly looks away. This is for the best Ben thinks, doesn't matter how he feels when he's with Mackie his friends are way too important to him.

Everything is back to normal, everyone ignores Mackie and Ben pretends he doesn't exist. They take their regular seats in science class and class begins. Groups are presenting their projects and since Ben asked for them to work separately, he had done his project alone leaving Mackie in the dark. "Mackenzie?" The teacher calls when it is his turn to present but he's so lost in his thoughts he doesn't hear, "Mackenzie" the teacher calls again to no reply. Everyone turns looking at him and the teacher walks closer, "Mr. Denver" he taps the desk

"Huh?" Mackie snaps and sees everyone staring at him

"It's your turn to present, where's your project?"

His eyes land in Ben's "I don't have one I got ditched, remember?" Ben looks away feeling at fault,

"Students work alone, Mackenzie doesn't excuse you not having your project,"

"Can I bring it in tomorrow?"

Sighing "sure but I'm deducting points."

"Okay," the teacher walks away going back to teaching class.

It's lunch and instead of finding his friend, Ben heads behind the school to the lone bench where he and Mackie talked, getting there he stops when he sees the sad boy sitting there eating skittles alone. He wants so bad to join him and talk again but he made a decision, and he has to stick to it. So, he walks back in texting Ali and Brooke to meet up. Heading down the hall Ben is stunned when he sees Jeremy and Jenny hiding behind a wall as they're kissing.

Pissed he storms away to find his friends, "I want to end Jenny Field!"

"What happened?"

"Jeremy was kissing that bitch!" He drops his bag sitting down, "not only did she think she could fuck with me on insta, but now they're throwing it in my face!"

"What do you want to do?" Ali asks interested

"I don't know yet but I'm going to figure it out."

Walking after lunch Ben sees one of Jenny's old friends, "hey Shelley" he walks up to her as she's shutting her locker.

"Hi... Ben," she's confused as to why he's talking to her.

"How are you?" He fakes caring

"Uh Fine, you?"

"Great, listen I was wondering why you and Jenny aren't close anymore? You guys used to be best friends."

Her face expression changes at the sound of Jenny Field's name, "I really don't want to talk about it"

"Totally understand but I'm just trying to figure out what kind of person she is, I mean whatever she did to you couldn't be as bad as stealing your boyfriend."

"Technically Ben you took Jeremy from her,"

"Maybe if she wasn't such a bitch guys would actually stay with her," he says getting angry but then calms down. "Sorry, I'm just mad that Jeremy fell for her crap."

"I stopped talking to her because I found her nudes on my boyfriend's phone," Ben gasps knowing he wouldn't expect any less from Jenny Field. "That's not it though, when you guys were still together she sent them to Jeremy too."

"Really?" Ben asks and Shelley nods, "I knew that dickhead would've fallen for her shit"

"Jenny isn't a good person."

"She doesn't know me Shelley, and that bitch made a big mistake thinking I'd let her get away with what she pulled."

"Wait what are you-"

"Thanks for the info Shelley," he walks away before she can finish her question.

"Ma those tires I ordered, when are they coming in?" Mackie walks to his mom's office as he's at work

"I don't know but I'll call to check,"

"Thanks." As Mackie's about to go back to work, his mom says

"When you're done can you pick your little brothers up from your dad? Take them home and find them something to eat. I'm gonna be here late."

"Sure no problem."

Continuing with his life like nothings changed Mackie goes to school, work and sees his friends. When he sees Ben it's best if he just pretends they didn't have anything because it's hard for him to not think about Ben, but he knows it's better to stay away from him. After working Mackie drives to his dad's store, "hey where are the boys?" He walks up to his dad behind the counter

"In the back, where's your brother?"

Mackie shrugs "mom said he won't answer his phone"

"Have you tried calling him? He'll answer for you"

"No, but I'll try." This is Harley's MO disappear for a few days scare his parents, then he pops up without telling anyone where he's been or what he's been doing. As he drives his little brothers home, "you guys want pizza for dinner?" He asks them in the back seat

"Can we have McDonald's instead?" Ryder the youngest asks

"No, I want pizza!" Bentley replies "Ryder always gets what he wants." He is 8 so yeah they baby him a little.

"Dude you're about to be a teen quit bitching, all right? You think it was fun for me when mom and dad gave you everything?" Bentley stays quiet and Mackie takes them to McDonald's for dinner.

Getting home he lets them in and they all see Harley on the couch, "HARLEY!!" Ryder yells and they rush in to hug him

"Hey little shits" he plays with them while Mackie watches, "what's that? Y'all sharing?"

"No!" They rush to their room with their food

Waiting for their door to shut, "where the fuck have you been? Mom's freaking out"

"Mom always freaks out and I was at Gina's for a few days."

"Thought y'all broke up?"

"Yeah but pussy still good Mack" he stands up, "but your little virgin ass wouldn't know anything about that, huh?"

"Fuck you," Mackie walks away going to his room shutting his door locking it.

With the perfect plan, Ben drives heading somewhere no one would expect him to be, parking he walks up to the door and knocks. The door opens "Ben?" Jeremy looks at him confused "what are you doing here?"

"Can we talk?" Ben puts on his best distressed look

"Sure" Jeremy lets him in.
